That particular article states that you can't change the carrier name from CV-63 or something to that effect meaning you can only have that particular carrier on station. By adding the Forrestal and the KittyHawk, does this mean that multiple carriers can be added at once? I'm interested because I'm coming from the point of view that I wouldn't mind adding a carrier for each side, or multiple carriers depending on the nation.

'Vark ECM pods
SayethWhaaaa replied to Platinum Rogue's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Work = lousy, not the scooter I had this same problem with my pig and the A-4 I use is the A-4G but then again for some reason there are a few things that don't work on that particular model despite being able to get them to work on the A-4K Kahu. I used the process above here to get my pigs in order (though never had this problem with the F-111C) gonna try it in a sec on my Aussie Scooter... -
China Fighter
SayethWhaaaa replied to 101tfs's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Yeah but the sucka's legless, totally underpowered. Vulnerable during landing and (allegedly) manouvers like a bbq plate with a full load (fuel & moderate weapons load). Although the F-CK is supposed to rectify all this. Shame the new model won't have the dielectric radar-absorbing fuselage. That would have been sweet... -
'Vark ECM pods
SayethWhaaaa replied to Platinum Rogue's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I've had problems loading these kind of pods as well as other kinds onto some A-4s (in that the pod was registered as being there but was invisible during the sortie). I'll have to give this a go when I get home from work. Lousy job... :fuk: -

Fubes, that's a nice SEA map. Just curious but what's the possibility of that map causing a bit of chunk up during game? -
Progress on the F-22

F-22? Who cares about that p.o.s. when you have a supurb stallion like the F-23??? -
So I finally got my mits on a copy of WoV a short time ago and have been battling my computer to actually get it to work. Never had a technical problem with SFG, WoV on the other hand... yeah... go figure. Anyways, long story short, I just noticed as I was porting over my 5gig of modded aircraft from SFG to WoV that Wings only allows you to sortie between 1968 and 1976 (give or take a year). Where abouts would the definition of what years I can choose to fly be? I'm sure it's been posted on this site how to change it before but after a couple days of searching I'm still coming up with nada. I'm not so worried about the campaigns, I'll make my own set whenever in due course, it's just that in the meantime I can't use contemporary aircraft (LIKE THAT GD SWEET F-23A!!!!!!) with modern loadouts. essentially I'm, limited to ordinance produced up to 1976, aside from a few that inexplicably work. And an F-23A minus Amraams or JDAMs just doesn't sit well with me. Any help?

Seriously, it ain't just the Texans, your whole damn country is crazy!!! I was in San Fran a few months ago and there was some kind of fair or fete at Union Square where there were a couple of chilli stalls. I should have known better than to sample them but I figured "Hey, it's gonna be a while before I'm back here again, why not?" I think I hit the deck by the time I tried the second sample. My girlfriend laughed her ass off because it took me a few days to be able to form words again without dribbling out the side of my mouth. Don't get me wrong, the 3 seconds before all my senses shut down, it tasted brilliant! But then the searing, white hot pain of the chilli kicked in... I have no idea how you guys do it without blacking out, but mucho respect to you! I, on the other hand, shall not go within ten feet of another chilli stall again no matter how good it tastes! I still can't smell properly, bastards! I reckons y'all have asbestos stomachs or something. There's no other way...

Harrier skinning
SayethWhaaaa replied to actionhank's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Yeah, making your own is prolly the best way to go, unfortunately, it's a total pain in the ass! Hopefully, someone out there may have their own and will share it but more often than not it'll be up to you. I'm in a similar boat making a generic Mitsubishi F-2 temp but it's taking me forever but once you get it finished, it's the hardest part over with... -
China Fighter
SayethWhaaaa replied to 101tfs's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Neither that, nor a Lavi clone. This is a unique aircraft that is being developed by China to fit in with it's mass modernisation programs and it's need to be able to compete with the cheap, high technology platforms within the asia pacific (such as F-16, F/A-18, Mig-29, Mirage 2k, etc) and to a lesser degree on the global market. They've recieved quite a bit of support and development from various Israeli defence contractors and even though it looks like the IAI Lavi superficially but it's all new and high tech, but most importantly, it's mostly indigenous. China's making great strides to be on par technically with the rest of the world and with help from IAI, it's been able to do so pretty rapidly. -

I've seen a lot of stuff out in that hot parani desert sun... maybe it's just a mirage... Okay, so no one digs really bad jokes about mirages and deserts. :p -
chaff and flare
SayethWhaaaa replied to bingo's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Cheers CSB, just today I was wondering why my Chaff/Flares were only working with roughly half of my modded aircraft. SystemName[0xx]=Flare_Station SystemName[0xy]=Chaff_Station This^^ was the crucial piece I was missing. You're a champ! -

Ooooooooooohhhhhhh! You guys never cease with the excellent models and skins! Top stuff! -
If that fox was black and porky (like 20 kgs porkier) it's look like what my mutt used to get away with at the Xmas bbq when no one was looking. She'd get too stuffed from just jumping up to reach the bbq these days Jeebus, the foxes you have there aren't a bit cheeky though, are they?

Here's the post I sent you via PM: "Hey, I figured while you were on I'd catch you before you left. All aircraft from SFP,WoV,WoE are interchangable because the games use the same engine. In fact, you can download desert maps for WoE or jungle maps for WoV and so on. I'll give you this link: http://www.thirdwire.com/projects/p1/rt_links.htm It's a little old now and about a third of the links don't work but you can find some good stuff from the ones that do work, like the Column5 site, or capun's skunkworks page. I personally like Gramps page only because I'm from Oz There's a newer list of links, if I can remember where it is, I'll post it for you." There are a few problems with DirectX and the service packs but they can be easily remedied by just downloading the problem file (usually its something similar to the d3dx9_28.dll file) Google the file that isn't working, download it and you can usually save yourself a re-install Since you're a Nugget, have a look at this: http://www.column5.us/newb.htm

WOE-LGB
SayethWhaaaa replied to graven's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I'm not sure about WOE but in SFG, if you don't equip with Lantirn before you sortie, some aircraft won't even release LGBs. I find it's usually with older aircraft that have been modded to use guided munitions. Also, if you're gonna drop them in a dive, you can do it from 1-2000 meters at about 5kms, you just have to be going slow otherwise you'll over shoot the target. By slow, I'm talking 500kph or under. You'll have to google those numbers if youwant them in imperial, I only know metric, soz
