  1. Got it working using DxWnd. Within DxWnd, had to set DirectX version hook to "DirectX 7". I don't know why, but that was the only way DxWnd would launch FE. Then had to enable Options -> Extended mode and in the game's Compat. tab -> Tweaks(2) had to enable "Handle Exceptions". DxWnd still loads DgVoodoo2's d3d9.dll and plays nicely. Now the only Instant Action crashes are from my own flying. I haven't tried the ENB d3d9.dll, but will keep it in mind if I fly into any troubles. Thank you all for the replies. Happy to be flying above the trenches again.
  2. Compatibility settings I have tried are "running as admin", WinXPSP2 and WinXPSP3. Didn't make any difference. I use DgVoodoo2 because it boosts performance significantly. I think it boosts performance. All of the flying is much smoother. I will consider getting First Eagles 2, but a bit scared I'll run into the same problems.
  3. Hello Everyone. I am trying to get First Eagles The Great War: 1918 to work on my Windows 11 PC. Installed, patched and setup DgVoodoo2. When I enter Instant Action, it would work for around 2 minutes, freeze for about 2 seconds and then crash back to desktop. Single mission and campaign seems to work fine. I have tried changing a whole host of things in DgVoodoo2 and always the same result. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
  4. Greetings. Haven't been visiting for a while. Last time I was here, was getting a bunch of planes for First Eagles. Now I am back trying to get First Eagles to work again... then get the same bunch of planes.
