the closest to what you want now is Falcon 4:Allied Force.it can be flown as simple as you want or as real as you want.Ramp start and taxi out or start on the runway ready to roll,even start in the air. The campain is dynamic and theres 4 to choose from.I fly it periodically when I want to spend 30 mins just getting ready for a flight. The graphics aren't as nice as lock on but the campain and general realism is much better. As for down the road?I've heard that ED(makers of Lock on)are doing a F/A-18 sim next(but then thats rumor.and Lead Pursuit(makers of Falcon 4:AF) are supposed to be starting a new one.

welcome to Combatace and to FE.Theres alot of very good mods and add-ons here at CA and the A-Team makes some very nice add-on aircraft also,for A-team planes you have to e-mail them and get permisison to download.do a fast search here for A-team and you'll find their e-mail addy.

they are great guys and super pilots,and I have to also give a shout out for the vitrual ThunderBirds.Both groups are top shelf.

they'll be in your main folder and will be named"Grabxx"theres no screenshot folder.

has it always been like that?or is something new?I believe I've seen people complain about ATI cards and this sim before.I'll look around to see if I can find anything for you.in the mean time set your horizon to near.

IL-2 is good in about any way you hook up,we use Hamachi at TAW,Falcon 4 Allied Force is also good for jet age. If you have friends that you want to play about any game that allows lan play Hamachi is great,if not Hyperlobby is king of the hill.
