what video card and drivers are you using?

I agree that it's not perfect but it is getting better.The add-on planes have their amour points set by their makers so different people will see planes taking more or less damage,depending on the author. the wingmen and the enemy AI are starting to get better,atleast from the aggression point of view.I actually had one of my wingmen put some holes in me when I was on the tail of a DVII. To be honest I don't think we'll ever see a dead pilot,if he's dead he just disappears.I would love to see my opponent slumped over,but I have realized that an empty cockpit means I got him,and the landing planes are better than before,although it still does happen.

I believe that what was attempted was to make it "feel"like all you had was hand signals.When first released it had all the commands as the other modern sims,but it was cut back as they had no radios to communicate with.

np..I got shot down while flying a mission and got a message that I had been rescued by friendly forces.

it'll come up as a message on screen.."you've been rescued or captured or killed"

are you talking campain?if so I believe you must complete the mission or bail out and be saved by your forces for it to be saved.

yes it is a stock plane,and the FM is made from real numbers based on WW1 flight models.TK researches every plane he releases,and improves them with every patch.Also don't forget that once you make a change then if you fly on-line you have to remove it or everyone has to have the exact same thing or you won't be able to join a game,or host one that anybody can join. Also no matter who does the mod,it has to have the origional modders ok to post it.stock planes are in a gray area so we'll let them stay,BUT if you use someone else's and no permission it'll be taken down and even if you post it as data here or post a link to it off site,it'll be deleted.We've been through this before and it's not going to happen again.That's the rules here.

You'll need to contact Bortdafarm first,I'm sorry but if you'll read the forum rules when ever you use someone else's work as a base you MUST have permission from that person.Thats the rules.

No it's not out yet,and I believe that it might have been pushed back until Q3 or Q4 this year.Have you tried the latest release of IL-2 the 1946 DVD yet?it's not bad at all.

TAW is currently playing with the idea of starting a WoE,or WoV squadron.while nothing has been decided it is a start that the game is even being concidered. TAW

welcome to Combatace,and we're glad you're enjoying your sim.I might suggest you try FS:SDOE WW1 again as they have worked hard on this sim and it's add-ons.it's really fun.

I was reading about the new card when I saw the headline,I have to get one of these!Jeters's card look in the stands and in the dugout.

That's ok..we are just not wanting any hard feelings.The reason is stated above,this applies to ALL files,even a repaint using someones base skin then having even a couple of changes doesn't make it your skin,same with planes,all we ask is you get an ok from the origional modder.

I am waiting until the N.A. release.I've heard they've already released atleast 1 patch for it.I am hoping it will meet or beat OFP in the long haul.I'm waiting to see.

Thank you for being understanding on this.if someone comes here and says "It's ok for everyone to mod my aircraft and post their changes" fine,or if they send someone an e-mail saying yes it's ok thats fine(just include it in the read me and give credit wheres credit is due),I am not wanting to get the past ulgliness started again.

ok then a quick e-mail with permission to post it for download won't be a problem.The policy is the same for any file,unless it's your own of course.

Just a friendly reminder that if you post anything that effects or includes others work,be sure to get the origional modders permission BEFORE posting them here.I don't care if it takes weeks or months if you post it without permission the file will be pulled.We went through this before and I will not let it happen again. I've seen new paint for A-team planes and the modders clearly states he has their permission,which shows perfessionalism on their parts and I tip my hat to you for that.I have temp. removed the new FM for Bartos planes until permission is gotten and once it has been given then I will replace the thread.All it takes is an e-mail or PM,it's called common courtesy and I expect it here. There will be NO arguments,NO excuses..period.If you have a problem with this let me know and I'll explain it to you. I'm sorry if this delays a release for however long it takes to get permission but thats better than having your files pulled from here.
