Not that excited myself - I relegated my MiG-25s to RARE status in SF2E because in the 70s because it makes the game to easy :) -
Ha - in an 80s video for the F-16 it has the quote "Disproving the adage that high tech doesn't fly" - Im guessing it got a lot of stick back in the 70s as well. The F-35B should be called the Super Harrier III - its the holy grail of Harriers - M1.5, stealth, 2 times the range, far superior payload, 100 times easy to fly - for the Harrier its an upgrade beyond dreams. Max stores load F-35B = 15,000 lbs AV-8B = 4,630 lbs Internal Fuel F-35B = 2,014 US Gal AV-8B = 1,141 US Gal Max Combat Speed F-35B = M1.5 AV-8B = M0.8

AI nihilistic, altruistic, and ritualistic behavior
MigBuster replied to luft46's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
If you mean they fly straight and ignore you they are probably on bingo fuel - the SF2 AI will fly an evasion profile - but then again the SF2 AI is too unrealistic in that it seems to know where you are the whole time - to make it more gamey I guess. -

You will find that the limits normally refer to sustained G - and the amount of G specified in design and what its been tested to. Most airframes can take way over the stated limits but for very short periods ( instantaneous G) - ie pull 11Gs for more than 2 seconds and very bad things start to happen - this will vary with airframe - but typical accounts of over G (such as engines coming out of mountings in F-4s) don't bode well. Also taking airframe life time into account a lot of Gs on the F-16Ns didnt do them much good - look how quickly they were pulled out of service and thats with an actual 9G rated frame and a FLCS limiter - only 10 years: http://www.f-16.net/..._article22.html -

haha Yes the F414-GE-400 engines are listed in the manual - although the M2.25 is the peak on the chart at 36,000 ft - it should be M1.0 around 11,000ft - still not too bad. Is anything using the EPE engines yet I cant find any ref to them? -

You dont say Yeah Ive got a high res picture of that - the Airpseed goes up to 300 - redlines about 260 - no indication given of the units - must be WARP Still with that many radios the pilot (aka dwarf) will at least have something to zip along to music wise - I wonder if they were planning to put the monkey from the space trip in it (if it had survived) Actually - with no HUD present I would assume that the white helmet is in fact the worlds most advanced HMCS - not even a single bulge to show - amazing these guys! -

Well if we are comparing the 2 - wonder how fast that flying SAM site is in an intercept profile? According to the FA-18EF manual with 5 x AIM-120s and 2 x AIM-9s and a TFLIR it can reach M1.25 top end The F-14D manual however shows that with 4 x AIM-54, 2 x AIM-7 and 2 x AIM-9 it could get to M1.85 - and could carry more internal fuel - now thats impressive! -

I will bet that we are gonna see at least this (with vietnam/europe/NA added at some point) SF A SFI A SF iOS SFI iOS SF Win8RT SFI Win8RT The tech support is near non existent with these limited locked down OSs - but If he has to do patches for each OS revision then that's going to take a lot of time. Based on whats been downloaded already - say 500,000 downloads for each of the above = 3 million users in 1 year. Percentage of that would pay at least $1- maybe 30-60% all I can say is that may he will hire someone to finish the terrain engine for the PC version. -
Having seen or owning most of them I would go for either Flight Of the Intruder or BAT21 for me. Casualties of War was another I remember........just so many Jarhead reminded me of Platoon and FMJ - didnt quite have the same effect though considering GW1 was no comparison to Vietnam .

Excellent - are you sure you have enough RAM :) Do you not have any Solid State HDs? - if you put Windows on an SSD your start up time will be about 10 seconds from power on - and all lag will be gone (well locally) -
Cant even see that site Thank you for your interest in FX Networks This site is currently only available to viewers living in the United States. Is there classified info on this site? Just love the way the Internet is going!
