  1. My Joystick Has Stopped Working/Died.

Interesting about the steel base plate interference. Eitherway glad to know it's back in action again.
  2. Terrorist assault underway in Munich, germany

No, but I remember George Soros... if you get my hint.
  3. My Joystick Has Stopped Working/Died.

Yes, otherwise if this doesn't solve it, try to disassemble it with a philips screwdriver or something, and look for something broken or detached inside. (Connections, or other components, etc.)
  4. Terrorist assault underway in Munich, germany

The more I see the complicity of our garbage european politicians with what's happening (massive muslim inflow), the more I believe on what I've read on "Club Bilderberg". "Angela Merkel worried about foreign refugees" ?? She doesn't even bother with her own country citizens for start, much less would she with millions of people she doesn't even know !! Obviously she's part of some kind of agenda to change europe in some way.
  5. F-103E and F-103D - Mirage III Brazilian Air Force PACK

The best Mirage III of the Brazilian Air Force! The skins are awsome - realy nice effort! Thank you Denis!
  6. My impressions on DCS: positive - very good graphics for AC and scenarios; - very good flight models for the majority of their AC; - very good fidelity in AC avionics; - MiG-21bis (for instance) really is something. negative - decreasing game performance with the continuous updates, neither 1.5.3 or 2.0 are as stable or fluid as 1.5.2 version; (many complaints on how the graphics / performance go down, if player doesn't upgrade RAM; CPU; GPU; etc.) - some flight model updates for AC like the MiG-29 are taking forever - I believe it's the same as in LOMAC times ? - few scenarios (only Black Sea or Nevada); However... I appreciate it a lot, just like SF2, and I can't wait to see the Leatherneck's F-14 Tomcat.
  7. Chopper downed over Syria?

I believe ejection system on helicopters is somewhat a recent concept, only operational in Kamov Ka-50 (if I'm not mistaken). It's always very sad when this happens. RIP to the deceased.
  8. ID the cars from Film and TV

Outstanding, and nostalgic. You might not believe, but I correctly identified ALL of the 77 cars... Just kidding, of course. Couldn't believe the "Metro Police" car, from the "Hill Street Blues" was there also. That really was a cult series here in Portugal in the early 80's... but then again we only had a total of 2 (two) TV channels here ! The "Dukes of Hazzard", appeared even earlier than "Hill Street Blues" here, so I don't recollect it very well as I was very young back then.
  9. Correction: 4. "Seeker Gimble Limit" - ??? Maximum angular field of view, from the boresight to each side, for that seeker / missile. For ex. R-73 Archer missile, Gimbal Limit of 60º : Its seeker can only see the target within a 60 degree angle around its boresight line - for each side of its nose, up and down..
  10. Hello tiopilotos, Answers of what I think it is, in the quote.
  11. Crimes in the Skies

Heard about that (tries at the least) on the Serbian conflict. More on "Crimes in the skies": "Brothers to the rescue" aircraft shot down by the Cuban Air Force in 1996. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_shootdown_of_Brothers_to_the_Rescue_aircraft
  12. My Favorite Lamborghini

Precisely. That's what I like on their Top Gear, the way they "read" and evaluate every car. I remember one of them commenting about, the recent path of Lamborghini trying to give their cars a more "civilized and pretty looks", when a Lamborghini always has had a "monster and exaggerate" charisma.
  13. My Favorite Lamborghini

Hello, I know, yesterday I also checked that precisely at wikipedia. However I didn't want to bother skyviper with such "technicalities", and used the more omnibus therm "sports car".
  14. My Favorite Lamborghini

Allow me to put it this way: Ford Pinto: ordinary economic subcompact car. Lamborghini Espada: sports car equivalent to Italian high-fashion & exclusivity, actual price in the 6 digit figure. (To many car enthusiasts let's say that, a Lamborghini engine has a "soul" of its own.)
  15. (Then I believe the concept we're talking about is "situational awareness"... which means something like, knowing what's going on around you - which enemies; how much of them; where; when; what are they doing; etc.) About the radar helping more or less to get you looking to the right piece of sky, it depends greatly on which aircraft you're flying, however: In SF2 when you get a Radar-lock on an enemy AC, you will automatically have a yelow diamond (target box) on the target, somewhere in your FOV. Still, if you don't want that "simulator cheat", you can disable it (press Alt+D, one or more times)... If you disable it, then only aircraft like the F-14 Tomcat or newer ones, can give you a true target box (green diamond, or other simbols) visible on the HUD, and you know your target will always be inside this box when you keep closing in, (provided you have Radar-lock). When they are very close, either you step your options graphic settings up, or you must use the "target nearest enemy aircraft" cheat ( T key ).
  16. If you're talking about enemy ground units for instance, in DCS forums I've once read exactly the same thing - they are very hard to spot in time. Remember that; probably it's just like that in a real war situation. Also, if it was very easy, you wouldn't have that realism feeling you are after in a simulator.
  17. That's the case with many people yes, it's somewhat demanding on hardware capabilities. So you have Falcon BMS, which I believe is much more reasonable about hardware. Don't know if you are more into propellers or jets, but if try for instance F-14 on SF2: NA, you'll see that it already has a little complexity in therms of some avionics systems. (And there's the MODs here at CA which give more realism to many aircraft.) On flight models; weapons behavior; aircraft skins; teatre scenarios, SF2 already shows a lot I believe...
  18. Hello, No HUD at all? I don't understand that. Strike Fighters 2 already goes in the "lite simulator" category I believe. Although it is NOT an arcade game, it has options (like Fubar 512 and skyfly mentioned) that allows one to get either more "arcade style", or more "simulator" feeling. About " Good simulator " : If you're looking into hardcore, ultra-realistic combat flight simulators, there's: Falcon BMS, or DCS modules for instance.
  19. Just got a very quick try... yes we got new Tomcats ! Caesar and Crusader, thank you for details like the SEAM lock light now working only when it's supposed. New radar modes; VDI different simbols with new colors; very good.
  20. Already downloaded it, but I don't have my own PC here. Can't wait to try it! Thank you!
  21. TMF F-14 Tomcat Super Pack v1.32

Thank you Caesar and everyone else! Seem's outstanding, will try it soon.
  22. Euro 2016... this is priceless ))

Hahaha !! My fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo doing a tantrum, (typical) ! He does have a temperament, which the media knows and exploits sometimes (last week he threw the reporter's mike to a lake.) But generally, people do cut him some slack because he get's the job done like no one, and has the all known star status.
  23. I believe the Tu-95 is not fetured in WOE. Try Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic, (it's a "lite sim" also), and you can intercept the Tu-95 and several others of the USSR bomber fleet.
  24. Very good article, one of my favourite themes. Although I wasn't expecting the Tornado F3 to be that better than an F-4 Phantom within visual range.
  25. North Korea Fighter Pilot Training Video

Hello logan4, That I know, I've seen it many times already. The part about no common sense and development was related to the NK government. I just couldn't help not to find comical, (even their "leader" was laughing) seeing two guys running in squatting position side by side, and one of them carrying some cockpit front panel cardboard while "sighting" the other. I think what might be implied here, is that they might not have the means ( $$$ ) to do much more than these less expensive forms of training in the long run.
