    33LIMA: Fantastic write-up, I too have downloaded the DBW 1916 mod, but have not installed yet since I am busy flying FE2 mostly. Thanks for the great pictures and write-up's, really gives you a good feel for all four sims.

    If you use Sandboxie, you can never get infected because it uses a "sandbox" to go on line so nothing ever gets to you regular operating system.

  7. I found that it took a SSD to stop the constant micro-stutters on my current SF2 series. My old SF2 (Jan11) and FE2 never had any micro-stutters, only the current SF2 had them until I switched my C drive from a HHD to a SSD.

    The biggest reason I went from FE1 to FE2 is the doubling of the FPS with the increased graphics & distances.

    The only real early war campaigns out there is ojcar's Armchair Ace's series: http://combatace.com/files/file/13914-armchair-aces-redux/ To fly it properly you need to install a lot of items (it's in his "readme" file included in the download). This is where the SF1 & SF2 Knowledge Bases help when they tell you how to install all the new items required to get these mods to work correctly. Enjoy !!!!!

    scharmes: Since FE2 is based on SF2, you need to read the SF2 Knowledge Base and you will see why the Terrains Folder has a "s" at the back.

    If you do not like Jan Tuma's terrain, you could always use Stary's WW1 terrain (in the FE download section too).

    "Standard two weeks" is an old joke that actually says "it will be done when is gets done". The "two weeks" is used when some one asks when a mod or patch is to be released and the answer is "two weeks" when the maker does not want to say or has no idea at the moment when it will actually be finished.
  16. Are you making a 3D model or just putting new decals on it ??? If you are making a new 3D model, there is a scale in the 3D Max that you can use to roughly position your decals. If you are just making new decals, then you can look at the coordinates of existing decals and move your news ones from that position.

  21. As of Mar11 patch, TK made it so you could install them in any order, so that does not matter any more. Install them in any order if you do a fresh May13 download from TW.

    If they did not lisiten to any conversations, then why did Gen. Petraus conversation conviently come out since he broke no law after the government had all his emails & phone calls. He had an affair just like Clinton, but apparently is not against the law, only lieing about it.
