naa, I like the trailer, I liked the original Tuskegee Airmen film, right now, the CGI is the way to go. Exagerrated? Sure. But the more aerial battles the better. What was last decent WW2 (or any dogfights conflict) depicted? Pearl Harbour? Flyboys? Red Baron? Of the three Red Baron was closest to actual "feel" of the air combat and flight in general IMO (mind you, I've only flown prop planes few times in RL as a cargo next to pilot) but was waay off historic-wise for story telling reasons. Think of it, every new movie about fighters spawns new rookie flightsimmer somewhere edit: I can spot many things that seem off in the trailer (which is well, just a movie trailer with all the post-production going on right now, CGI including) from 262s camo to 103s tracers smoke shape, but how many of the actual viewers will notice, will be aware of that? Or we gather some 50+ million bucks and do our own vision of it? I can take the red shirt part

EricJ and others like C5 made few very good reviews on other blogs in the past, maybe we should do part of the viral marketing ourselfs? @Brain32: I agree with most of your post, FM is there, maybe more advanced engine simulation like mentioned flameouts (Mig Alley had it done well... some 12 years ago) and such, stalls, spins are quite ok now as these are, but that's part of the (good IMO) FM, what SF lacks is the ground/naval warfare part, maybe some bit refined carrier ops too for Tomcat (or Linebackers) (I still can't shake off that poor catapult guy I sucked into engine in Digital Integration's Super Hornet, again 10 years old title) -
(Ok, I have had extensive studies with a human models at University of Technology of Cracow, but that was painting ((rarely oil, mostly acrylic)) and charcoal sketches) I tried some low light level photo works with my girlfriend:

either stand alone or as DLC I'll get it, simple as it is. I somehow tied my life, my activities with the series, this great community of ours and the man himself for the past 6 years. It's a hobby, addictive one. I really don't need military-grade AWG-9 fidelity to enjoy it, I know many would like to, but let's face it, TK's approach (deliberately!) is quite different than that of Eagle Dynamics or... ummm... that would be only one competitor past ~1970s jet planes currently on the market. Side note: TK really really needs some advertising on the net, typical response among RL flight simmers I know, active for past 10-15 years is "Strike Fighters? Never heard of..." -

I'm trying to upload ~380 MB file that is an update to file uploaded previoulsy -I upload using the same entry in the download database using "upload a newer version" menu. After uploading some 300 -320 MB my router stops uploading -internet works fine, browsing web pages works etc. I've tried three times now, on two occasions I had broken connection thanks to my ISP, on two it just stops sending any data from my computer -checked in W7 networking monitor constantly running in the background..? Any help or direction would be much appreciated. Maybe I should upload the new version as separete entry in the database? SF2 section, terrain mods BTW edit: some data is being send out as this post is the clear indication of that. But the bytes sent and bytes sent per interval (in network monitor) haven't moved a bit. Also the file upload progress bar stopped and disappeared (was some 3/4 of it)

This tiny mod is my modification of stock post-June11 environmentsystem.ini, that I created in spare time for own enjoyment. Incorporated are several tweaks and graphics files I created to slightly change the looks and feel of the SF2 series environment. Changes include: New, light blue sky colour for midday New, more purple, "cinematic" sky colours for sunrise/sunset Slightly modified fog colours Reduced sky glow for sunrise/sunset New, slighly bigger sun with new sun graphics New sun flare New clouds sizes and graphics for all weather types Now clear weather has some small fluffy clouds too New, bigger lens flares with new graphics Slightly bigger Moon New stars graphics New, stronger base winds and gusts for more dramatic smoke columns etc. Other tiny changes Please note: as of Expansion Pack 2, clouds height seems to be locked at specific untweakable altitude (=> ~10000 feet). I, aswell as others, tried various settings, even negative cloud base height values to no luck. -

DLC #006 is out!
Stary replied to SkateZilla's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
What Eric said, ok, Scooters all the way (hey! I'm a Scooter fanboy!) also Mirage with Matras and FT/RP mix is good addition too. Haven't yet purhased no.4 Hunter, can't think of plausible scenarios in my installs for it though. My dream: DLC #9 code update: custom true 3D lod-based Tod files, DLC #10 code update: switchable restricted to hud/reflector glass gunsight... dream on... (c'mon TK, that's not that big deal for you!) -
