  3. does Sas1946 rings any bells? I wish some modding group, aside from Histomod worked on say "your" type of Sweden/Nato early 50s mod... but I'm sure it will still have all the gameplay flaws of Il2 there
  4. Soo fellow modders here I ask: 1) Do we have Alaska (ie. Anchorage) terrain available or in the works? I think soviet assault re-taking their valuable emptyness could make fun campaign in say mid to late 50s 2) An idea about cockpit shadows I think I'll test -what if instead of open cockpit method to have shadows, modder creates fake "pilot" mesh that has the boundaries ot the cockpit model, yet thinner by few milimeters, and then places it in the same spot as cockpit with very short visibility range, wouldn't that make the "cockpit-pilot" mesh cast shadow onto cockpit? Something to think about

Centurion, looks very good, one advice, try making the mountains, oh the whole set in general -slightly darker and with greater contrast (use curves! standard contrast isn't producing the same shade on different tiles!) -desaturate the tiles, will look better from higher air also try adding tile-specific heightmaps to displace mountains a little more, check my Israeli or Germany sets for how it's done

  8. true, but anythig like even "guys, we shifted our resources to mobile apps at the moment" would be appreciated TK being TK accustomed us to his way of communicating with fan base, yet other small companies are very vocal about their plans

Brain, Battle of Britain is in the works, but I'm really hating anything terrains-related to the point of getting seizures anytime I open tile in photoshop, I promised to Arthur66 smaller trees for Korea set but launching TE gives me itchy rash. Ok, I might have exagerrated a bit. But when I see what other guys did to IL2 with that enigne... man! I'd gladly hire some programmer to do me custom TODs creation tool together with 3D to TOD format converter so we could have real buildings

  14. very good work Centurion, feel free to use any of my terrain works for this, as for TODs, there are PLENTY to choose from, sometimes it's good to work smart not hard for snowy areas, you could check my Iceland repaint or Brain's DBS tileset I am currently fed up with Thirdwire-related terrain works so I don't work on tiles, tired of the engine limitations as for BN, I started this over a month ago, but given I'm knee-deep in several other cockpit projects, no certain date apart from "somewhere this year"

    Hamburger Hill, We were... and Bat 21, followed by Platoon (you just got to love Oliver Stone's face expression second before he goes boom! :) ) and Gump's Nam scenes (check the strike in HD!) as one wrote, FMJ and Apocalypse are great movies but too artsy and Green Berets is pure propaganda for farmboys I really wish Wayne didn't took part in that leaving it to a-holes like Heston
