  1. If the already given tips didn't work 6 years ago, then I guess the guy has stopped trying to fix them in the years between then and now.
  2. DisplayWidth=3840 DisplayHeight=1600 3840 divided by 1600 = Aspect-Ratio of 2.4 I got problems with anything above 60Hz refreshrate, but at 60 is works fine.
  3. Judging from the Dog with the boxing gloves, I would think the USMC-Squadron was VMA-223 (named "Bulldogs") and not 222 as in your picture. But the last number is a bit blocked by the guy, so I may be wrong.
  4. I'm curious...will the revamp cost money? They obviously used my Skyhawk-Templates for that VA-86 skin and cockpit-repaint-mod (which is fine, unless it's included or used for payware).
  5. Photo Archive

Lot's of good photos in a very good quality. Lot's of planes, but also cars and other stuff. I like to browse there and I'm finding something interesting every time. https://www.flickr.com/photos/skyhawkpc Have fun.
  6. There actually are seats, but you can't see them from that Point of View.
  7. Why not just take the roundel from soulfreak, draw a yellow circle and put that layer below the roundel? It's VERY little effort...

Some more work: VA-144 Roadrunners, 11/1966 to 6/1967, USS Kitty Hawk, A-4C VA-146 Blue Diamonds, 4/1967 to 12/1967, USS Constellation, A-4C more to come...

    And another one: VA-144 Roadrunners, 5/1964 - 2/1965, USS Constellation, A-4C

A tiny Update - sorry for lacking these days. This time its VMA-121 Green Knights - another squadron finished. VMA-121 Green Knights, 12/1966 - 6/1967, Chu Lai AB, A-4E VMA-121 Green Knights, 9/1967 - 2/1969, Chu Lai AB, A-4E
  11. May it be, that you have accidentally deleted something there? I think STRIKE is the one, that is missing from the missiontypelist.
  12. Hey m8, just move your mousecursor to the left side (on the border between the white and light grey area)...your cursor should change. Then left-click and draw to the right side. This should show the menu again.
  13. That's the spirit... I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want.... I am excited to see a tiny bit of modding done by you...I am sure all the stuff you want will long be available by then.
  14. You know...if you reach someone your little finger, they grab the whole arm. I welcome every bit of improvement for LOD-viewer - it's makes modding so much easier! Having a way to easily load a cockpit-LOD into LOD-viewer is great. I don't know if it is possible and how much work it would need - including a way to see the changes made in the cockpit.ini (rearranging instruments for stand-in cockpits for example) would be incredible. It's just a wish though. I cannot thank you enough for this tool as it is.
  15. Little time at the moment - so some less time consuming interim project.
  16. Good explanation! Just some small add ons: DecalFacing= TOP, BOTTOM, LEFT, RIGHT, FRONT, BACK Reverse= TRUE or FALSE <--- to mirror a decal on another side to have both sides facing the same direction.

I always wanted to do some Skins for the timeperiod between Korea and Vietnam. It was a very colourful period - I like that. And there are also a lot of not so famous, but interesting planes in that period (F11F Tiger, F4D Skyray, F3D Skynight, F7U Cutlass, etc.). To bad, Quality takes much time...I would love to do something for all of that planes. I also love the many different Aggressor-Paintjobs, that exist. To bad that half of them are TA-4s and we lack a proper model.

No, I've never done this one. Maybe one day, when I have to much free time.

    A little update on Vietnam Scooters: VA-112 (Bombing) Broncos, 2/1969 - 9/1969, USS Ticonderoga, A-4C VA-216 Black Diamonds, 9/1968 - 4/1969, USS Coral Sea, A-4C VA-212 Rampant Raiders, 12/1965 - 8/1966, USS Hancock, A-4E VA-212 Rampant Raiders, 1/1967 - 8/1967, USS Bon Homme Richard, A-4E to be continued... (88 Skins are done, 47 still to do) and some odds and ends, that I (re-)made over time: VA-81 Crusaders, 1961, USS Forrestal, A-4B VC-2 Falcons, 1976, NAS Oceana, A-4L VC-5 Checkertails, 1981, NAS Atsugi, A-4E VA-127 Cyclons, 1983, Red 01, A-4F VFA-127 Cyclons, 1986, Red 00, A-4F VMA-142 Flying Gators, 1974, NAS Jacksonville, A-4L
  20. I think, it will not work, the way you want it. You have to do the pylons as some sort of weapon or tank in order to make them jettisonable at all. But that way, you can select them as active weapon while flying and drop them, like a bomb etc. I guess, that's not, what you want. Edit: Pylon as a droptank (with fuelamount = 0) could work with little negative sideeffect. You would only lose the ability to drop regular droptanks, as that would jettison the pylons too.

No need to apologize. I'm sure there are faults and errors in. Sometimes there is very little information available, sometimes it's typos, sometimes it's bad references. Even in the pictures above are 2 or 3 errors (I already fixed those). But I try to be precise. Here's another case for "very little information" and therefor maybe faulty. Seem like the paintjob for the next deployment of VA-112 (18. Nov. '67 to 28. Jun. '68) is exactly the same, but I also have a photo with a bright yellow stripe, which doesn't make any sense and where the color is probably not changed from the former deployment (with Modex 2xx = bright yellow). Those are the first-world-problems I encounter while doing this. ;) VA-112 (Bombing) Broncos, 11/1966 - 6/1967, USS Kitty Hawk, A-4C
  22. For those, who are interested - here's a simple object I made in Blender and converted to LOD. SimpleObject - BlenderToLOD.7z Included is the Source-File for Blender v2.79, Textures , UVmaps and the resulting LOD.
  23. You can have 1 picture, that contains the whole plane OR split parts into separate pictures for the textures. If you have 1 picture, than you have to UVmap everything to that one picture. If you want 2 or more, than you have to map every part to their own picture. If you split your mapping into separate parts, then you could make 1 file for the fuselage, a second one for the wings and maybe a third for the tailplane. You need a separate material for each mapping though (I started to name them accordingly - in that example you could use: MaterialFuselage, MaterialWings, MaterialTail). In the picture above I used 1 texture for the whole model, as it's a target drone and rather small. So everything fits on the canvas and it is still big enough to add some details (The texture file's dimension is 4096x4096 pixels). Here's the full picture of the texture (without the orange paint for better visibility):
