  1. Looks great Spinners! Speaking of the CatPack. I think it's an outstanding Tool for modding Terrains. Case in point. I've got CA_Stary's Green Hell 2. Approch Lights and Brian32's Tile re-paints But My SF2 VietnamSEA Folder looks like this. Just remember some ground Rules. 1) You can Mod an existing File with the same Name. But can't cange a File Name and add to a .CAT. Applies to the "Stock" Files that came with the "Stock .Cat". 2) The .Cat must have the same number of files or less to work. The Header of the .Cat tells the Engine how many Files it should have. (If using less, You do this at Your own risk. It sometimes works.) 3) You can't add more Files than the Stock .Cat came with. The Header of the .Cat calls this out. In turn, This makes for neat and tidy Terrain Folders that just cry out for more Ground Objects to be added. If You've looked at the Picture above, You'll see that all I have to do is add new Ground Objects to the VietnamSEA Folder and extract the .INI's and make changes so they'll work..... 331KillerBee
  2. My applogies (76.IAP-Blackbird and All) I had no Idea...... (Thinking I'm a DumbA$$, Old Geezer)
  3. This one is in 4:3 Standard........Let Me know if this shows up better. I had no idea....My Bust. Let Me know if this is any better on Yall's end......
  4. Oh hell....My bust. I forgot. I'm 16:9 in SF2.....I didn't think that made a Diff.......My Bad...I'll try redoing them in 4:3. (16:9 1080p HDMI Samsung 32")
  5. Turn it upside down.......Might look better....
  6. DaNang, AB. SVN. Mission E501-1/2. 10 Oct.1968. Brief at 0700. TO at 0840. TOT 0900. CAS Mission. Weather was Clear. Ingress at 20000ft. Egress at 30000ft. Target, Bunker Complex in the I Corps Area. Province, Quang Nam. Pilots LtCol.Vitali/Lt McCaffrey and Capt Hadley/Lt Cunningham....Target destroyed, No secondarys reported. Mission Completed. Callsign, "Castor Oil Nine and One Five" (Not YAP2 Generated) Semper Fi! 331KillerBee
  7. One more thing of note, and I'll check out. A wild combination used durning the War was VMA-211 using Gun Pods on their A-4E's on one Mission. The Loadout was 3 Mk.4's with their internal 2 Mk.12's.......
  8. Maybe I need to expand alittle more. The reason in Barrel combinations was the fact that the ROF (Rate of Fire) would need to be increased. But by increasing ROF ment more Recoil. Units had to find the best combination for their Airframes or the Aircraft would Stall. Also the Pods were Belt fed and would eject the spent Cases and Linkages. There was a worry of FOD damage and ingestion to Engines if not placed right......
  9. The Mk.4 came in two different Flavors durning the war......The "Early" Version as You mentioned, was a Two barrled Pod. It was modified later to a Version that was basically a 3 barrled Vulcan....The true Suu-23's were full blown Vulcans...Of course, One might not find alot of information on them durning the War. Pretty much the reasoning was, Think of Vietnam as a giant "Weapons Test Bed". Weapons were modded and changed so many times durning the conflict it's hard to keep up with all the little changes....especially the little ones. But the Weapons of Today owe their exsistance to their development durning the Vietnam Conflict.... Mk.4 is in StrikeFighters2 out of the Box.... Oh, BTW....There was a 3 Barrled Version of the Suu23 too.... 331KillerBee
  10. Just to back up My claim. VMFA-542 on 8 Oct. 1968. Were operating F-4B's out of DaNang, AB, South Vietnam. They reported expending 16,065 Rounds of 20mm for the Month of Oct. They used the Mk.4 for their Runs. Sources? VMFA-542 Unit Chronology (03A31368) for the Month October 1968 dated 8 Nov.1968. The U.S. National Archives & Records Adminstration (CACTA) Combat Air Activities File 09/01/69-10/31/68 Not to mention, This Ole' Jarhead used to load them..... Semper Fi! 331KillerBee
