Thank you very much, that's a great improvement comparing to the old version.
  2. Hello everyone! Yesterday I noticed a weird thing happening to my GIMP 2.10 (my basic skinning tool). It happens with all kinds of files - psd, tga, xcf etc. When I create a new epmty transparent layer with basic settings on top of other layers, it covers the remaining layers and all I can see is blank image. I reinstalled my GIMP and it still happens. Here are some screens: 1. a decal I'd like to edit 2. adding a new transparent layer 3. the effect Feel free to ask if you don't understand anything from the gimp settings in my screenshot, it's in Polish. I do hope some of you have an idea how to help with it. Chris
  3. Well, this is more than FUCKING weird. I changed the new layer's mode from normal to any other one and then back to normal aaand... MAGIC! The layer shows the way it should.
  4. View File SF2 F-35 USAF 65th AGRS skin This is my new USAF F-35 Aggressor skin with 65th AGRS, 57th ATG, Nellis AFB, NV markings. The paint scheme has been revealed recently and its purpose is to reflect the Chinese J-20 prototype stealth fighter. The skin was made with my latest template. I encourage you to use it with my slightly reworked F-35 which you can find here: All the credits for the aircraft model go to FastCargo and other guys involved in the project. This skin and any other content of this mod cannot be used in any commercial project. Use it under Combatace Freeware License. To install, simply copy the contents of "to mod folder" folder into your game's mod folder. Read the Knowledge Base for more information. Enjoy! 8. Currently I'm working on VFA-14 and VFA-31.
  9. Yes, it's available here: My way of doing skins for this bird is completely different from painting something on the template. The skin is mostly blank with basic colors. All the markings, tail arts etc. are added as decals, so that the first aircraft from the numbers list gets the CAG markings and the rest get the lo-viz. The only exception is the intake decal which is painted on the skin, so it won't change its color depending on the aircraft number. Making it as a decal causes the decal to appear inside the intake, which looks bad AF. The only thing that I personally don't like about this "decal method" is that the tail fins sometimes look weird (especially when they are completely covered with the decal) with no weathering on them. Maybe I'll try to sort it out by putting weathering on the decals, why not

  14. I didn't even think about this one for a second Anyway, my bird would be something more modern than the Agile, even in the A version but you just gave me an idea to make the Agile too as the earliest and most basic one. Like: 1987 (or so) F-26A block 10 as the basic Agile version with F-16 block 40 avionics, 1995 F-26A block 20 as the F-2A counterpart with AESA etc. and 2010 F-26C block 30 with modern AESA, CFTs etc. Maybe someone has some better suggestions about verions and timeline?
  15. What if the USAF decided to introduce the bigger, more versatile and more sophisticated version of the F-16? Here's what I called the Lockheed/Mitsubishi F-26 Super Falcon. It's obviously the Mitsubishi F-2A with CFTs borrowed from the old F-16 mods, US-made weapons and avionics. The original Japanese camo was too unusual for the USAF so I repainted it completely with the colors of "Mod Eagle" scheme, adding my own touch to the weathering since the F-2 template lacks weathering at all. The aircraft pictured below belongs to the 510th FS "Buzzards", 31st FW, Aviano AB. I have some more ideas with this bird so stay tuned And yes, there's a f*ckup with the right side of the vertical tail with "VA" instead of "AV" code.
  16. Okay, so I decided to make two versions of this aircraft. F-26A - introduced in 1995 basically unchanged F-2A original AESA radar General Electric F110-GE-129 engine LANTIRN pods for A2G targeting F-26C - introduced in 2010 CFTS double A2A missile rails AN/APG-80 AESA radar modern cockipt based on F-22 JHMCS General Electric F110-GE-132 engine Sniper XR targeting pod built-in IRST
  17. Yes, I'm going to release it after making some more skins and all the tweaks with weapons and avionics.
