SF2 JASDF F-35A Skins
This is my JASDF F-35A skin pack. It contains two skins: reallistic F-35 Rinji Hikotai plain skin and a semi-fictional one with 302 Hikotai tail markings. The skin was made with my latest template.
This skin and any other content of this mod cannot be used in any commercial project. Use it under Combatace Freeware License.
To install, simply copy the contents of "to mod folder" folder into your game's mod folder. Read the Knowledge Base for more information.

Should it rather be named AS-38? JA means "Jakt, Attack" which means "Fighter, Attack". This one is based on Tonka GR.1 so I think that AS (Attack, Spaning - Attack, Recon) is more suitable to the aircraft's role.

I counted 22 max, I still don't know where the additional 2 would go. Maybe 4 instead of 2 under the centerline?

Hello all!
I've been searching for some solid information about the F-15X which is planned to replace older versions of F-15 in USAF and I encountered some press releases with contradictory information. My question may seem dumb but I'm going to ask it anyway: are they going to be one-seaters, two-seaters or a mix of both?

I'm back with some fresh Japanese content. I may admit that the main inspiration to do this were recent Japan vs Russia scenarios presented by @JosefK
So, here it is. The plain realistic gray skin with no special markings as it is used in the JASDF Rinji F-35A Hikotai.
And a semi-fictional 302 Hikotai skin with a tail art similar to the one used on F-4EJ Kai Phantoms.

The KF2 Hammer is available in SF1 download section, you must adjust it to SF2 standards if you want it to be fully functional in SF2. The Soviet/Russian skins haven't been released, maybe I'll release my PAK-FA-style skins.

I don't understand one thing. Would it be possible to switch between the front and back seat? If yes, then how would it be possible? I can see that you are posting screens from both pilot's and WSO's point of view.

SF2 USAF F-35 redux
Here's my rework of the original SF2 F-35A from FastCargo's F-35A/B/C Lightning II V 2.5 for SF2 pack. It includes USAF F-35A only, so there are no B/C or foreign operators versions (maybe I'll do them in the future). This pack was created and tested with full 5 merged install of SF2 with latest patch.
My main objective was to make this aircraft more reallistic by reworking the skins (RAM coatings, panel lines etc.), loadouts and other minor .ini changes. The afterburner is changed to the Viper Burner by The Viper Team and the pilot is changed to the one with JHMCS.
Following squadrons are included:
- 4th FS, 388th FW, Hill AFB, UT
- 31st TES, 53d TEG, Eglin AFB, FL
- 34th FS, 388th FW, Hill AFB, UT
- 58th FS, 33d OG, Eglin AFB, FL
- 61st FS, 56th OG, Luke AFB, AZ
- 62d FS, 56th OG, Luke AFB, AZ
- 63d FS, 56th OG, Luke AFB, AZ
- 422d TES, 53d TEG, Eglin AFB, FL
All aircraft numbers are real and come from this site: http://www.f-16.net/aircraft-database/F-35/serials-and-inventory/airforce/USAF/
The default loadouts are all-internal. Presets with external stores are also included to use with in-game mission editor. Most weapons come from Ravenclaw's Weapons Pack 2. Loadouts do not include external fuel tanks as they are not used in real life.
Reworked skin template based on DoctorWho's template is included. It is suitable for F-35A only. Feel free to create new skins, give me credit when publishing.
Installation:
Firstly, if you are new to SF2, please head to The Knowledge base and read about Mod Folders and installing mods. It is highly recommended to delete your previous version of F-35A from your Aircraft folder. After doing this, copy all the content of "To Mods Folder" folder to your mod folder. Overwrite when asked.

I've finished all the USAF squadrons skins except for 461st FLTS as a purely test unit. I used the serial number database to recreate all the serial numbers used by each unit (available here: http://www.f-16.net/aircraft-database/F-35/serials-and-inventory/).

I've almost finished the basic skin. I won't mess around with bump/specular maps because AFAIK one needs to add them to the 3D model .max file and I have no access to the model itself. Correct me if I'm wrong here.
I would like to ask whether anyone with experience in FM tweaks could help with fixing the Lightning's flight model. For me, it's slightly too slow and "bulky" without the afterburner.

There is a possible workaround. Hardpoint models can be added as pilot seats with "fakepilots" without editing the original 3D model.

Don't get me wrong. I'm only working on the skin with more accurate details. I'm not working on the 3D model update because I don't have the files and I am not a 3D guy in any way so don't expect to have a totally new version of this plane unless someone else decides to make it. The F-35 is available here on CA, you can have fun with it and even load it with SDBs.

What if the USAF decided to introduce the bigger, more versatile and more sophisticated version of the F-16?
Here's what I called the Lockheed/Mitsubishi F-26 Super Falcon. It's obviously the Mitsubishi F-2A with CFTs borrowed from the old F-16 mods, US-made weapons and avionics. The original Japanese camo was too unusual for the USAF so I repainted it completely with the colors of "Mod Eagle" scheme, adding my own touch to the weathering since the F-2 template lacks weathering at all.
The aircraft pictured below belongs to the 510th FS "Buzzards", 31st FW, Aviano AB.
I have some more ideas with this bird so stay tuned
And yes, there's a f*ckup with the right side of the vertical tail with "VA" instead of "AV" code.
