      A mission involving a hunt for Russian MLRS battery. Multiple Smerch MLRS units firing at precise times and hitting military targets. The tasking is for two A-10's to go out and search within a defined geographic area (approx. 100 sq km) to locate this battery before they flatten the entire Sevastopol area.The A-10 pilots will have to visually spot the MLRS battery. More specifically they will be looking for the smoke trails and dust of a MLRS launch. These launches are visible from many km away and this particular Russian MLRS battery commander seems to favor Salvo's that last approx 10 minutes. :)The sun is just setting in this evening mission. You and your wingman will be carrying Mavericks, Mk20 and Mk82 bombs as well as Suu-25 flare dispenser.The flare dispenser has LUU-2 high-intensity illumination flares, which can be used to illuminate the target area. The LUU-2 is housed in a pod and is deployed by ejection. The mechanism has a timer on it that deploys the parachute and ignites the flare candle. The Flares have a burn time of approximately 5 minutes while suspended from a parachute and they will turn night into day. This is my first attempt at a LOMAC mission. Give it a try.       MISSION : PRE-CRISIS EVPATORIJAWith a severe crisis building up in the northern Crimea region, NATO forces have been asked for support in the southern region of Saki, Simferopol and Sevastopol.NATO agrees and comes to help, organizing a major transport and airlift campaign, which will emphasize NATO's strong position against a possible invasion from the North.While undergoing political talks between the adverse coalitions do not lead to optimistic hopes, both sides are fortifying their military positions.This morning, reports are flowing in about heavy infantry and armor preparations in the city of Kirovskoe. NATO's presence in the region is still marginal, with smaller units of F16s , F15s, A10s and Apache helicopters flying double shifts in order to secure the region, until further troops and materials arrive. First NATO coalition armor and artillery troops are moving to Evpatorija, which at the very moment is sparsely defended by resistance infantry and light armor troops.The F16s squadron will try to soften the AAA/SAM threat with the stand-off HARMS. Two A10 Thunderbolts are dispatched for the destruction of the armor column. 4 AH-64A gunships will take care of any infantry and tank columns remnants.

      This mod will update the A-10 to carry all the proper weapons on the proper stations as per Diceman's consultation. It also allows TER's for the fueslage stations of the Su-33 which will enable the small bombs only(100 and 250 kilo) to be carried on these racks.It also includes many new custom weapon loads for the A-10, Su-33 and Mig-29A/C which includes long range 3 external tank loads(Fulcrums).I had hoped to have these files included in the v1.01 patch but at this time it looks like that won't happen so here they are.A BIG thanks to UCLANUPE for providing the MEInit.xml file with the adjusted pylons in which I modified to allow for realworld loads rather then the fictional ones.

The instructor shows how to approach the target area, draw the launch to spot the location, and evade. Starting with an orthagonal roll seems to work best. After four launches, the Strela is toothless while it reloads. That is the time for the kill. If the track replays correctly, you see 4 evasions and a Mav kill.
