ARA General Belgrano (C-4)

ARA General Belgrano was an Argentine Navy light cruiser in service from 1951 until 1982.
Originally commissioned by the U.S. as USS Phoenix, she saw action in the Pacific theatre
of World War II before being sold by the United States Navy to Argentina.
Transferred to Argentine Navy as Diecisiete de Octubre, 9 April 1951, renamed ARA General Belgrano 1956.
The vessel was the second to have been named after the Argentine founding father Manuel Belgrano (1770–1820).
She was sunk on 2 May 1982 during the Falklands War by the Royal Navy submarine Conqueror with the loss of 323 lives.
Losses from General Belgrano totalled just over half of Argentine military deaths in the war.
She is the only ship to have been sunk during military operations by a nuclear-powered submarine.

ARA Independencia

HMS Warrior was a Colossus-class light aircraft carrier which was ordered in 1942 by the British Royal Navy during World War II.
Construction was finished in 1945 and upon completion, the aircraft carrier was loaned to the Royal Canadian Navy from 1946 to 1948 as HMCS Warrior.
Warrior was returned to the Royal Navy in 1948 and entered service with the British. While in service with the Royal Navy, Warrior was modernised twice,
including the installation of an angled flight deck in 1956. In 1948–1949, the ship was used in aircraft landing experiments and fitted with a rubber flight deck and in 1957,
was used as the headquarters ship during nuclear testing at Christmas Island.
In 1958, the vessel was sold to the Argentine Navy and entered Argentine service in 1959 as ARA Independencia.
The aircraft carrier remained in service until 1970 when Independencia was placed in reserve. The following year, the ship was sold for scrap.

USS Fletcher Destoyer Class (*)

The Fletcher class was a class of destroyers built by the United States during World War II.
The class was designed in 1939, as a result of dissatisfaction with the earlier destroyer leader types of the Porter and Somers classes.
Some went on to serve during the Korean War and into the Vietnam War.
The United States Navy commissioned 175 Fletcher-class destroyers between 1942 and 1944.
After World War II ended, 11 were sold to countries that they had been built to fight against:
Italy, Germany, and Japan, as well as other countries, where they had even longer, distinguished careers.

Forrest Sherman-class destroyer(*)

The 18 Forrest Sherman-class destroyers were the first US post-war destroyers
(DD-927 to DD-930 were completed as destroyer leader configurations).
Commissioned beginning in 1955, these ships served until the late 1980s.
Their weaponry underwent considerable modification during their years of service.
Four were converted to guided missile destroyers.
This class also served as the basis for the Charles F. Adams-class guided missile destroyer.
Two ships of the class have become museum ships, nine have been sunk in training exercises,
and the others have been scrapped or are scheduled to be scrapped.

SF2_U_BoatXXIII

Elektroboot Type XXIII U-boat
"Elektroboot" series, the Type XXI U-boat and a short range Type XXIII U-boat, finalized in January 1943
but with production only commencing in 1944-1945.
When under water, the Type XXI managed to run at 17 knots (31 km/h; 20 mph), which was faster than a
Type VII running full out on the surface and almost as fast as the ships attacking her.
After the war, tests carried out by the United States Navy on two captured Type XXIs showed they could outrun
some ASW ships by going in the direction of heavy seas.
(The US Navy's first nuclear-powered submarine, USS Nautilus (SSN-571), used a modified Type XXI hull shape.)
For most of the trip it ran silently underwater on batteries, surfacing only at night, and then only to snorkel depth.
Weapons were likewise upgraded, with automated systems allowing the torpedo tubes to be reloaded in less than
one-fourth of the time, firing homing torpedoes that would attack on their own.
Even the interior was improved: it was much larger and fitted with showers and a meat refrigerator for long patrols.
German Type XXIII submarines were the first so-called elektroboats to become operational.
They were small coastal submarines designed to operate in the shallow waters of the North Sea, Black Sea and
Mediterranean Sea, where larger Type XXI Elektro boats were at risk in World War II.
They were so small they could carry only two torpedoes, which had to be loaded externally.
As with their far larger sisters—the Type XXI—they were able to remain submerged almost all of the time and were
faster than conventional U-boats, due to the improved streamlining of their shape, batteries with larger capacity and
the snorkel, which allowed the diesel engines to be used while submerged.

Skin for the Fletcher Class Destroyer
(1941-46) by GrinchWSLG
This is representative of a war era Fletcher. To be exact its a late war version.
The model is a mix of different ships, specifically the Kidd and the Sullivans. Its finished in Measure 22.
A paintkit is included for those who want to finish it in the various other Measures used during the war.
Intallation:
1. For SF, WOV, WOE, WOI: Put the "Fletcher" folder into your "GroundObject" Fletcher ...folder !!!!
For SF2: ... Place the Fletcher folder in
User/Saved Games/Thirdwire/StrikerFighters2(whatever version you use)/Objects/GroundObject......
Be carefull ...save the original skin 1st !!!! This will copy/paste the original skin.
The default texture is 2048x2048 .

The Agosta-class submarine is actually two related class of diesel-electric and fast attack submarine developed
and constructed by France's DCNS to succeed the Daphn? submarines.
The French Navy grouped this model of submarine in their most capable class as an oc?anique, meaning "ocean-going."
Agosta-70
The Agosta-70 are in the active service with the Spanish Navy, Pakistan Navy, and formerly by the French Navy
when they commissioned the Scorp?ne class submarines.
Agosta-90B
The Agosta-90B is a modernized version that is built as part of a joint-venture by Pakistan's KSEW and the France's DCNS
for Pakistan Navy and features the air-independent marine propulsion.
The Agosta-90B are slightly larger and modified submarine that has a crew of 36 plus 5 officers and can be equipped with
the MESMA air-independent propulsion (AIP) system.
The Agosta–90B class submarines also known as the Khalid–class, is a modernized and long–range air-independent powered

-HNLMS Amsterdam was the last replenishment ship serving with the Royal Netherlands Navy.
Amsterdam entered service on 2 September 1995.
On 4 December 2014 it was decommissioned and sold to the Peruvian Navy where it was renamed BAP Tacna.
-The design of the ship is similar to Patino class /HNLMS Amsterdam of the Royal Netherlands Navy/, the vessels were developed in cooperation.
The vessel is 170 metres (560 ft) and measures 17,045 tons but displaces 7,780 tons.

Amsterdam deployed to the Middle East as part of Operation Enduring Freedom during 2005/2006 and provided assistance to two US naval vessels
after a battle they had fought with pirates on 18 March 2006.
Amsterdam was assigned in December 2010 to the coast of C?te d'Ivoire in order to assist in a possible evacuation of European Union citizens
from the country in the wake of unrest after the 2010 presidential election.
Amsterdam was decommissioned on 4 December 2014 and is transferred to the Peruvian Navy.
The RNLN will not have an operational tanker until the new Joint Logistic Support Ship Karel Doorman was scheduled to be commissioned sometime
in 2015.

Amsterdam was acquired by the Peruvian Navy in July 2014.
It was delivered to the navy on 4 December 2014 and commissioned as Tacna, for the border city Tacna, with the number ARL-158.
The vessel was part of the revamp of the navy.

Spanish oiler Pati?o
Pati?o is a replenishment oiler of the Spanish Navy.
It was named after the Spanish navy minister Jos? Pati?o Rosales, who reorganized the fleet on the orders of Philip V of Spain.
The ship was ordered in December 1991 from Navantia. It was launched on 22 June 1994 and completed in June 1995.
Pati?o was commissioned in June 1995 with the pennant number A14. The vessel's homeport is at Naval Station Rota.
The design of the ship is similar to HNLMS Amsterdam of the Royal Netherlands Navy, the vessels were developed in cooperation.
Pati?o was mostly a civilian design. The vessel is 170 metres (560 ft) and measures 17,045 tons but displaces 7,780 tons.
The oiler has a crew of 148 plus 20 extra berths. Pati?o is designed to carry up to five - 5 - helicopters.
It has a normal complement of only three -3- Sikorsky SH-3 Sea Kings with 19 air crew provided.

French cruiser Colbert (C611)
Colbert (C 611) was an anti-air cruiser, later transformed into a missile cruiser, of the French Navy.
She was the sixth ship (and second cruiser) of the French Navy to be named after Jean-Baptiste Colbert
(the previous one was scuttled at Toulon in 1942).
She was designed as a powerful ship, the second of the De Grasse series, able to overcome all threats solely by
her guns' weight of fire - she had 57mm and 127mm turrets for a firing rate of one shot per second.
Launched on 24 March 1956 in Brest, France, starting her trials on 5 December 1957 and officially entering active service
on 5 May 1959, she was made part of a 15-ship squadron, with the main aims of protecting aircraft carriers from air attack,
shore bombardment for ground operations, command hub for naval operations and evacuating French expatriates from overseas.
In 1964 a naval reorganisation made her the flagship of France's Mediterranean squadron (escadre de Méditerranée) at Toulon,
which was mainly made up of complementary units such as aircraft-carriers and frigates.
She served in the Navy from 1956 to 1991, before being converted into a museum ship at Bordeaux from 1993.
Since 2007 she has been anchored in the roadstead of Brest awaiting scrapping.

Jules Verne is a repair ship of the French Navy, named in honour of science-fiction writer Jules Verne.
Originally named Achéron and intended as an ammunition transport ship, she was converted to repair ship after her keel had been laid.
Jules Verne was long based in Djibouti (she was featured on the 10 000-Djiboutian francs banknote). In 1997, she was assigned to the Force d'Action Navale.
She was designed to replenish, refuel and repair the ships of an operational force at sea. She was fitted with a complete 240-m2 hospital including an operating theatre, a recompression chamber and 16 beds.
In May 2016 Jules Verne arrived at Ghent, Belgium for recycling by Galloo Group

E-52b Class Escort Rapide
Le Normand
The E-52 Class Escort Rapide were destroyers/Frigates built for the French Navy after the Second World War.
The Le Normand class (or E52 Type) was a class of 14 fast frigates (Escorteurs Rapide) built for the French Navy in the late 1950s.
They were an immediate follow-on from the earlier Le Corse-class (or E50 Type) frigates, and like them, were long-range convoy escorts
capable of high speed.
The first seven ships, paid for by the United States under the Mutual Defense Assistance Act were ordered in 1952.
The remaining seven ships were paid for by France and ordered between 1953 and 1955.
The E52 type shared a flush-decked layout with the E50 class, and had a similar armament of three twin 57mm turrets)
(one forward and two aft) and an anti-submarine armament consisting of a battery of heavyweight guided torpedoes and a 375mm Bofors
six-barrel rocket launcher.
The major difference was the layout of the armament, with the torpedo tubes moving from forwards to amidships, and the Bofors launcher
moving from amidships to forward of the bow gun, thus reducing topweight and improving the arc of fire for the Bofors launcher.

The last three ships were completed as a modified version, the Type E52B.
This replaced the amidships turret and the Bofors rocket launcher with a new 305mm anti-submarine mortar mounted amidships.
Two more of this type were ordered in 1957, but were cancelled owing to financial problems.

E-50 Class Escort Rapide
The E-50 Class Escort Rapide were destroyers built for the French Navy after the Second World War.

During the wwII the German's stop the build.
Two ships were built between 1945 and 1949....
The ships were modernised ... and decommissioned in the 1980s, when they were replaced by the DURANCE-class TANKER'S.
The ships were designed as TANKER for the Squadron escorts (Escorteur d'escadre) ....and Carrier's.

A class of 17 French Navy ships entering service during the 70s and early 80s,
Type A-69 D'Estienne D'Orves Corvettes were designed for coastal anti-submarine warfare
as well as scouting, training and other secondary duties.
250' in length and displacing 1,100 tons, these are not large ships but are nevertheless
seaworthy - and economical-vessels. ...but are also available for high sea escort missions
(notably in support missions with the FOST). Built on a simple and robust design, they have an
economical and reliable propulsion system which allows them to be used for overseas presence missions.
The A69 design was based on the Portuguese Navy's Jo?o Coutinho-class corvettes.
Armament and combat systems vary, and there were even plans - subsequently canceled -
to outfit two of them with helicopter landing facilities.

Burak-class corvette (Turkish: Burak sinifi korvet), aka B-class corvette, is a warship class
of the Turkish Navy, all ex-D'Estienne d'Orves class A69 type Aviso corvettes, mainly designed

Their robust design and economical propulsion system allows them to be used for distant overseas operations.

The T 53 class were the --------second group of destroyers------------ built for the French Navy after World War II.
These ships were a modified version of the -----------T 47-class destroyers.
The main difference with the preceding ships was the provision of improved air warning and tracking radars
as well as an anti-submarine mortar.
The ships were built between 1957 and 1958 and were decommissioned in the late 1970s or early 1980s.
Modifications-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A single modified ship La Galissonni?re was built as a trials ship for a new generation of French weapons.
This ship was designated as the T 56 class.
La Galissonni?re differed slightly in specification from the rest of the class as she was built specifically
to test the Malafon anti-submarine missile.
In 1972–73 two of the class were substantially modified:Duperr? and Forbin

For all users: unzip, as I always reccomend, to a temp folder or you desktop, or somewheres else that easy to find.....!!!

These are the simple instructions ...
Copy/Paste the Object's main folder into your ....... /Objects/ GroundObjects folder.
From the gun's ....data folder' Copy/Paste the gun's folder into your Objects/Guns subfolder.......

NOTE: if using a weapons pak that includes this weapon, you can either skip it, or let if overwrite.
There is a choise for time fused.....!!!

Then, take the subfolder marked Decal's (this contains the hull number decals), and copy/paste it into you .........Objects/Decals subfolder.
It's all set up for nearly instant use.

Preceded by:Fantasque class, Hardi class Followed by: T 53 class
-The T 47 class or Surcouf class were the first destroyers built for the French Navy after the Second World War.
12-Twelve ships were built between 1955 and 1957.
The ships were modernised in the 1960s and decommissioned in the 1980s, when they were replaced by the
Georges Leygues-class frigates.
-These ships were larger than other contemporary European destroyers and were based on the wartime Hardi class,
but were enlarged and had a dual purpose armament.
- The ships were designed as Squadron escorts (Escorteur d'escadre) rather than for independent operations,
therefore they had a slower speed than their predecessors.
-The main guns were the French designed Model 1948 127-millimetre (5 in)/54 gun, which enabled them to use the
same 5-inch shells as the U.S. Mark 18 gun.
- The secondary armament was composed of 57mm/60 mod?le 1951 guns.
During the 1960s the entire class were modernised and modified as either flotilla flagships, anti-aircraft guided missile or anti-submarine destroyers.
