SF2 Harrier GR.3 (82) Falklands War Modified 1.1
This is a modification of the Stock Third Wire Harrier GR.3 that represents the urgent modifications undertaken to the Harrier GR.3 aircraft that operated in the Falklands War/ Operation Corporate.
Modifications made:
- The Starboard gun pod has been replaced with the 'Blue Eric' ECM system. The Blue Eric consisted of the Tornado Sky Shadow ECM pod components in a Harrier gun pod.
- Correct RAF pilot model/skin.
- ALE-40 Chaff and Flare dispensers behind the Airbrake.
- Capability to carry the CPU-123/B laser guided bomb with the loadout.ini file updated to reflect this.
- Repainted green external fuel tanks.
- Updated skins including an Operation Corporate/Falklands war skin from Kesselbrut's SF2 Falklands Mod.
Requirements:
SF2 Europe for the Stock Harrier GR.3 however it has only been tested in a full merged install of all SF2 titles.
Instillation:
Simply unpack the file then copy and past into your mods folder and allow it to over-ride if required.
Enjoy,
Dan.
***************** German Tornado ECR/IDS/Marine Pack for SF2 V1.0 ************************
This pack contains 4 German Tornado aircraft with all the sounds, effects and weapons etc necessary for use. Although initially based on Dave, AD and Sundowners Tornado GR1/GR4 pack (in which I was involved) this pack includes new models, converted SF1 skins and improved ini's over the original GR1/GR4 release. It has been tested in both a Full Merged Nov '11 and a single SF2:E Nov '11 game with no problems found (not tested in SF1).
Installation
-------------
Unzip then copy and paste these folders into your Mod folder (usually C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 or whatever yours is called).
AIRCRAFT
------------
Aircraft Specific Info (in-game, not accurate to real life timeline) -
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Tornado ECR '90 (1990-2020) - The SEAD/Electronic Warfare version of the Tornado IDS, this comes with a much more powerful ECM pod than the IDS, no Cannons and a FLIR turret under the nose.
Tornado IDS '00 (2000-2020) - This is the Mid-Life Update for the IDS which gives it precision weapons like 2000lb Laser-JDAM, GBU-24, IRIS-T (post '06) and post '09 the Taurus Stand-Off Missile. It also has a secondary function in an Anti-Ship/SEAD role after the disbandment of the last Navy IDS squadron in 2005 allowing it to carry the new Kormoran 2 ASM. This comes in 2 paint schemes, an all-over grey for AG51 or a green camo design for JaboG 31 so I've allowed you to change the fuel tank colour at the loadout screen based on which skin you prefer.
Tornado IDS '79 (1979-1999) - The standard IDS for the Luftwaffe it carries a fairly limited payload due to the politics of the era but does come with the awesome MW-1 Dispenser in either Anti-Runway or Anti-Tank/Personnel varieties (AI Has trouble using it as it designed for 100ft deployment and AI can't go that low).
Tornado Marine/Navy IDS '82 (1982-2005) - The Naval version of the IDS, it's primary mission is Anti-Ship/SEAD and it was the only IDS capable of carrying larger 1000lb bombs and the Kormoran ASM until their disbandment started in 2000 lasting until the last Sqn went in 2005. It also carries it's defensive pods on the opposite wings to every other Tornado User.
OTHER INFO
-----------
Loadout Screen -
--------------
As per the Other Tornado Italian/GR1/GR4 packs most of the defensive pods & A-A missiles are combined in Weapons group 1 so please don't use the in-game loadout screen to change anything in Group 1.
Issues -
------
Due to the Political issues in Germany in the 80's the Luftwaffe's armory's were pretty bare and contained very few different weapon types which is why the loads outs are all very similar so be perpared for lots of MK82 Snake-Eye and BL755 sorties until 2000 and the arrival of the IDS '00 with it's enlarged weapons types.
The Taurus missile is using the old Storm Shadow model as it's the only one square enough to simulate it.
The Flir Turrent on the ECR has no display.
With the IDS '79 Strike loadout the AI can't use the MW-1, they just pull up into a stall when trying to use it.

T-45 Goshawk.
Fixed nose shadow problem, nose steering enabled.(See enclosed data.ini and copy\paste the new entry)
use new lod and edit T45 inito point to new LOD or rename the new LOD to the old LOD name, and delete the old.
Older LOD for My HawkTmk1A had a "tractor Beam" shadow issue on nose,so this will fix it.
Gripen C and D(note: the biplace version still in beta state)
This is the same model that Gux upload some years ago, but now with much more "eyecandy".
Gux done those models, i just done some updates.
Enjoy!!

This'll be my last update for the Tornado Pack V3.0 by Dave and Sundowner available here - url]http://combatace.com/files/file/12320-tornado-gr1gr4-for-sf2/[/url] as I can't think of anything else I can change/fix.
This bulk of this update is the missing GR4 decal folder which has now been added to the mod. Each Sqn now has it's own individual A/C numbers & year dependant Fleet codes (GR4_98 is 2 letters, GR4_06 is 3 numbers) and I've included 2 special "Anniversary" decals for 12Sqn and 617Sqn. These are placed on 1 Aircraft from each Sqn only. The 617sqn 60th Anniversary Decals can be found on ZA370 in the GR4_98 only. The 12Sqn 90th Anniversary Decals can be found on ZD650 in the GR4_06 only. I've also changed both the 12Sqn and 617Sqn GR4_06 skins (12Sqn had GR1 nose marking and 617Sqn has a different tail tip marking). One point to note is that 617Sqn are the only Sqn in the RAF to retain there WW2 style "Fleet Codes" which is why theirs look different to all the others.
I've also tweaked the mirrors for all the GR1 variants as the "nose" wasn't showing allowing you to see through the model into the undercarriage etc. One issue I found with that is that the image in the mirrors is set as though the cockpit is actually higher than it it is (like the mirrors are about 2ft above the cockpit). I'll be having a play to see whether it's fixable without breaking the current cockpit view but I consider it a minor issue.
Lastly I've changed the Storm Shadow jet exhaust effect from 2d to 3d for a better look (Thanks Fubar512 for the help)
Installation
------------------
Unzip then simply copy and paste into your Mod folder (usually C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 etc) and allow it to over-write. Tested on a Nov '11 patched Full Merged and SF2:Europe Only.
Thanks
---------
I've never done any Decals before so the folks here who helped out in the many "Help" threads I started really made this possible - DTMDragon, Spinners & Wrench

SF2 Cheetah_E (SAAF)
Must have:
DLC7 Mirage5BA_80 and SF2E or SF2 Merged for this to work on your game.
Copy the content from each of the folders to your respective folder on your game.
There is an 'Optional' folder for those who would like to have the fuselage pylon on the aircraft.
Just copy the content from the optional folder to the respective fold. I think I did the best on pylon attachment and the weapon attachment angle.
I want to thank my good friend "Alejandro" for sharing his excellent mode using the "fake pilot method"
