NATO unprepared

To be honest, i was never impressed by the military abilities of the west german Bundeswehr. But i never thought, that the rest of NATO forces were foolish too.

We have now year 4 of Ukraine War. We know that FPV-drones became gamechanger in warfare.

And if you look on videos and pictures of NATO exercises, then it is unbelievebale, that the military is not prepared for drone war. They play tank assaults in the style of Cold War. The soldiers stand in groups as nice targets for a drone. There are no protections on the vehicles against drones, no cache armour, not jammers, nothing.

Last March ten (10) unkrainian drone pilots played the role of the bad guys in the NATO exercise Hedegog 2025 in Estonia.

This 10 men sweeped out 2 entire battallions of NATO forces.

Sorry guys, but NATO is a bunch of fools.

You are of course, entitled to your own opinion. However, there are those of us (me being one of them) that do not believe the validity of that opinion for one second.

Requiring some updating of tactics to accommodate evolving military tactics & hardware: Yes, every military goes though that. Or do you think the Ukrainians just "knew" how to do certain things intrinsically, without a learning curve?

Unprepared? Probably, in some areas. Again, training will correct those deficiencies as new tactics & training regimens get up to speed on the requirements of the battlefield(s) of the future.

But Fools? Hardly.

You are entitled to your opinion though.

It's not like it's an opinion, but it's more or less fact that the Ukrainians broke the NATO contingent. Might want to look it up.

This war has been going on for four years, and I think any country with a modern army would be preparing for it, but due to one problem or another, they may not be able to do so in the short term

Fools are people who are not willing to learn and believe in their own superiority, which in reallity not exist.

Make a google search about latest NATO exercises. You find tons of photos which show a behavior of the troops which is Cold War style.

Yesterday a big NATO amphibious exercise was held on german Baltic Sea coast. Turkish and spanish forced played D-Day. And there was no protection against drones.

IMHO this is utterly devisive content. How many of you are Armchair Generals and Keyboard Knights?
Could you please consider other members and leave this for the kitchen table???

We could fill it to the brim here with everything concerning Trump, Putin, PeeWee Herman and so on... and I wouldn't like that either. At CA we are one, and I don't want to be put in a position (for me or anyone else) to feel the need to defend oneself...
