leprkz08 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Hey guys, a newbie's talking so I'm sorry if I messed up some terms  So I basically got this Swedish RB Missiles Set by @ravenclaw_007 for my WoE. It came with a readme stating to put the mod into my "Wings Over Europe\Objects\Weapons" file directory. The problem is, it's somehow not there. I'll give proof by attaching a screenshot of my "Objects" folder contents.  The only mods I installed for my WoE is the Oct2008b patch, an HDR mod, and dgVoodoo. I would really appreciate help by you guys. Cheers!
Flanker562 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Why not create the folder and see what happens? The weapons editor should be in the Downloads section (if you have access) where you can get the game to recognize the weapons, and so on. You'll need it anyway for weapons and stuff.
leprkz08 Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Does not work... I got the default ones from the base game (AIM-9Bs, Js, Ms, and so on) instead.  And I'm sorry but what do you mean by the downloads section? I'm not used to manipulate game's root folders by myself Edited 5 hours ago by leprkz08
Flanker562 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago No the Downloads section here on the site... I'll admit that it's been ages since I messed with SF1/WoE so @Wrench or somebody else can help. I think you can try the Saved Games route, but I don't know if that's specific to SF2. But do look in your Users/Your name/Saved Games/Thirdwire/ and see if there's a folder there. If so just create the folder under Objects/Weapons and put them there. I mean as said it's been a long time and I mostly moved on from this same, so I'm sure Wrench can help more than I can.
Gepard Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Do you has edited the WeaponData.ini? Â Edited 3 hours ago by Gepard
Wrench Posted 22 minutes ago Posted 22 minutes ago IIRC, 1stGens (SFP1, WoE, WoI, WoV) didn't use the 'plug and play' dropping in of folders. Originally. I haven't played them on forever, BUT I do have a WoE on this machine (but it don't like running in Win 11) I !!THINK!!! that with the 08 patch you CAN, so my reccomendation is to either create a /Weapons folder within the Object folder --- see image below -- and see if it works. If it don't, time to evolve to SF2
