Major Lee Posted July 17 Posted July 17 https://www.techpowerup.com/350844/nvidia-board-partners-receive-rtx-50-super-but-gddr7-pricing-holds-the-release-back Looks like the RTX 50 series Super may become a reality at some point, hopefully soon. A 5070 Super 18gb would be a step in the right direction for my machine. Â
MigBuster Posted Saturday at 12:39 PM Posted Saturday at 12:39 PM Did wonder if they were going to bother now they are primarily an AI slop distributor. Hope $5070 is not the price tag. Â Â 3
Flanker562 Posted Saturday at 04:49 PM Posted Saturday at 04:49 PM I mean I get by with my gaming laptops, but you know that AI chip is going to drive up prices, so $5070 just might be it. One reason I don't deal with PCs anymore. I can get a reasonable gaming laptop for a few thousand, and not spend a shit ton of money on a gaming desktop. I mean I know there are advantages, but my bank account wouldn't love me for it. 1

I mean I can play DCS fine on my laptop, and produce good decent graphics. I mean I could make room on my coffee table to accommodate a PC, but I like the fact that I can take my stuff without bouncing between platforms. I think I'm just a die hard laptop geek and fine with that. 1

That and I had to get a new laptop earlier this year due to negligence with a Mocha drink, totally ruined my laptop. So if I had a desktop I would mess up the keyboard, and either wash it out or replace it, whereas I had to get a new system entirely, so yeah, who knows I may change my mind.
daddyairplanes Posted Sunday at 04:52 PM Posted Sunday at 04:52 PM work with Alienwares at school. not too impressed thats with keeping in mind that its an institution not a person so they gotta get 6-7 years out of them minimum. but still maybe they'll have brand new systems come fall. we'll see and as i point out to my wife, a keyboard is way easier to replace than a laptop. that conversation happening regularly after kicking her cat off of my laptop...... 1
Flanker562 Posted Sunday at 05:30 PM Posted Sunday at 05:30 PM Well... I don't think her cat is gonna give you a break, and that's just good catting if you ask me.
daddyairplanes Posted Sunday at 05:48 PM Posted Sunday at 05:48 PM nah, his (the cats) sister usually keeps him in line
Flanker562 Posted Sunday at 06:11 PM Posted Sunday at 06:11 PM Lol so you say. No dog can keep a cat in line, cats are who they are, and no dog can tell a cat (much less a human) what to do. Fake News.
