Kandahar_Syndrome Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Specs CPU: i5-6500 GPU: GTX 1650 RAM: 32GB Bought the game a few days ago, but I cannot play it at all. Ran the installation exe, the game loads fine, and it even recognises my HOTAS ( an X52) in the input settings, but whenever I'm in a mission, nothing seems to work, not my HOTAS or keyboard inputs, and I can't even hit escape. Furthermore, despite trying to change graphics settings to match my 1920x1080 monitor, the game does not save them. I heard that there are supposed to be option files creating in your Saved Games or Documents folder, but I can't see any despite reinstalling several times. Any help on un-screwing my game would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I just wasted money.
Flanker562 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Maybe install went bad, but that's all I can think of.
MigBuster Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago You could try running the game exe as Admin. (Right click select admin or change in the shortcut properties) Also Security software may be preventing things so you may need to add SF as an exception.
Wrench Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Are you actually LOOKING in the Mod Folder???? In the (assuming Winge11) C:\Users\*yourname*\Saved Games\ThirdWire
DoctorQuest Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Where did you install the programs? Stay away from folders "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)". What OS are you using?
Kandahar_Syndrome Posted 16 hours ago Author Posted 16 hours ago To answer some questions: I'm running Win 10 Yes I've looked into the mod folder, and there is no option files, just a screenshot folder I installed the game on my E drive
Flanker562 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Can you try and put it on the C Drive? Or is it space on the drive?

Wrench Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Yeah, because if it's on another drive than, you have rewrite the pathways. There's a tutorial on that in the Knowledge Base. Might want to give it a read
DoctorQuest Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) Try looking at this article. It basically details how to set things up the way you appear to want them set up. Give that a look and see what sort of questions come up. (Article courtesy of MigBuster. :)) Edited 12 hours ago by DoctorQuest add credit
