HAPPY STRAYA DAY!

Recommended Posts

HAPPY STRAYA DAY!! If you were in Sydney for the Big Day Out, sucked in if you got sunburnt again :haha: Just Kidding! (Aren't you folks completely impervious to the sun by now from your never ending sunny weather??). Don't forget 3 important happenings today aside from the usual beerlariness, rioting and drunken, tearful, heart felt versions of Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi! being belted out at the cricket (Go Adelaide!). Why this isn't our new national anthem, I'll never know. Maybe it's just too Oz... I dunno, but anyways I digress: 3 Things...

(not in any particular order)

1. JJJ Hottest 100! Any takers one no.1? So long as it ain't the Hiltop Hoods, all's good, otherwise I'm setting fire to stuff and tipping over cars! I don't care if they're from Adelaide :nono:.

2. The aforementioned 1 day(er) international @ the most beautiful cricket ground in the world, the Adeliade Oval! Bring on Richie and the boys! (Except for that bloody male model from Mudgie, Kenny Sucliffe! )

3. The Australian Forces mod for BF2 gets released today!

For those not in the know, BF2 Aus Forces it the critically needed fix that turns Battlefield 2 from a completely unplayable waste of time and money, and basically a joke of a game, into, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the greatest FPS of all time. This conversion is made by replacing those oafish and kind of silly US Marines and their silly toys with the colonial riff raff of the ADF and it's suhuhuhuhuweeeeeeeet collection of, uh... better stuff (you know, no offense  ). This isn't a plug btw.

Normally I don't really care about Oz day, I'm not a Oz patriot, don't really care about nationalism and all that crap, but this year seems to be less sucky than usual. And since I'm not working, I FINALLY GET TO GO TO THE CRICKET!! WOOT! WHO'S WITH ME?!

Is it Burns Night, as in Robert Burns, or Burns Night, as in let's burn stuff in the street? Getting drunk, I would imagine, is an appropriate endeavor for both.
