FalconC45 162 Posted June 8, 2007 Why the.. was he in front the semi anyway?!
JediMaster 451 Posted June 11, 2007 Story says he was crossing the street in front of the truck at a light. The truck never saw him and when it went green just started to go. Don't know why it took him so long to cross it, maybe he got there late.
firehawkordy 34 Posted June 12, 2007 (edited) According to what I heard on KNX radio the guy is " mentally challenged" so he may not have known not to go in front of the Semi. The local newsman they interviewed said the guy was more upset over losing his soda than with taking the ride. It looks like a true innocent in the wrong place and time. Caveman 1 Posted June 12, 2007 Its quite possable that he got to the light right before it changed if he was mentalyhandi capped they don't always recognize things like if the hand is not flashing don't cross i am a para-transit driver so i transport people like this all the time. At the same time dagger is very correct in pointing out that the driver prolly diddn't even see him as there is a minumum of a 12 foot blind spot in the front of the truck so thank god nothin really bad happened here oh yeah and he may have had the speed on his chair set to slow
FalconC45 162 Posted June 12, 2007 I set my chair on fast mode when crossing the street. If the guy was mentally disabled, there should of been another person with him IMHO. Falcon
