Wolf65 Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 You could only accomplish that if you had the 3D source file. What about changing the windshield texture? If it has a texture. It is usually part of the model's .lod file. Quote
Guest Sony Tuckson Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 It is controlled by a TGA nice choice of example...;) Quote
Atreides Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 What would I use to open a TGA ? Quote
Badfrank Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Why you want to open it? If you look in your Lightning Fmk6\No-5\ folder you will see a file named canopy.tga. Rename this file and take a look in your F-16/???skin??? folder for the canopy.tga (maybee it has another name...) Copy this file in the Lighning folder (if necesary rename it to canopy.tga, and it should work... Quote
tank03 Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 What would I use to open a TGA ? TGA is an image file, so something like photoshop, paintshop, etc should allow you to open and manipulate. Quote

Shin_kazama Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 okay, so, does changing the canopy TGA file work? talon by zur has very dim canopy glass. the F-15c looks like that of the A-10. what other canopyTGA replacements works on these? Quote
Atreides Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 Yes, changing the canopy TGA did help. In my case with regards to the Lightning, it only changed the EXTERIOR colour ofthe canopy glass, and not the interior, which suits me just fine as I just really wanted to make a very minor cosmetic change. I wanted to also change the cnopy colour for the MIG-21 serie's aircraft, but I can't find a canopy TGA for them so I don't know what to do there, even the MIG-21 F13 from C5, I was unable to locate the canopy TGA to change the colour. That's sort of what I'm trying to do. Can I make some of these interior views less dark? Edited November 16, 2007 by kirbykern Quote
