Emp_Palpatine Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Hi there! Twice, I've seen something quite strange in campaigns. One time in Nato Fighters, the other time in the marvellous Harrier campaign. Here is my latest experience: flying Dhimari F-5, I got only Mk-82 bombs, roquets, mavericks and Aim-9 (D, I think). Then, all of a sudden, a whole list of weapons were available: Aim-9 D, P, L; lots of CBU, rockets and other guided weapons! Well, I suppose this is not WAD, and say to me: hey, let's stay "role playing" and do just as an US cargo ship has brought some supplies and top of the art Sidewinder for testing. But is this normal or a bug? Is there a solution? Thank, guy! Quote
Viggen Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Also had this happen. I like to thibnk of it as that the weapons you start with are what the unit is armed with at the time of the battle. As the war progresses and more units are based at where you are you also are given more weapons. Quote
+Dave Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 It is normal depending on your supply preferences when you started the campaign. Quote
Emp_Palpatine Posted December 6, 2007 Author Posted December 6, 2007 I always set the preferences to "limited", that's also why I am so surprised! :) Quote
+Crusader Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 At the start of a campaign you have only the weapons specified in the campaign ini. But as soon as the game engine makes the first resupply of weapons you get every type of weapon which fits the nation/attachment combination for your plane. Quote
+JSF_Aggie Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 (edited) The variable is at the top of the campaign's _data.ini file. It's something like WeaponSupplyTime, and the value is in days. You must be playing the Harrier Campaign with Campaign Length set to long. My intent was to set the Supplytime so far out in the future that you would never get resupplied. The MaxMissions is set to 30, but I think this is scewed by the Campaign Length option. Edited December 6, 2007 by JSF_Aggie Quote
Emp_Palpatine Posted December 6, 2007 Author Posted December 6, 2007 Indeed, I often play in "long". I know that it's not recommanded in Harrier read me, so I usually set to normal. I may have forgotten this time. But thanks for the answer, gentlemen! Now, I'm aware that it comes from game engine and that I did not f..... up anything. Quote
