Just a quick question: How do you move the your default eyepoint back a bit, but keeping the default zoom. I've found in alot of the recent aircraft, the default point is way too close to the instrument panel/hud for my taste.

They just want to make sure that you can reach the rudder pedals :biggrin:

Have you looked in the cockpit inis??

 

Also, wasn't there an ini hidden in one of the cats that set the views? Viewlist.ini???? something like that???

 

Maybe a pillow on the seat?? Booster cushion, I believe resturants call them?? :haha:

Didnt know they cared about us short folks...(im 5'2" a midget in anchorage as it appears jeez people are tall up here)

The thing is, I only want to move back the eyepoint in certain planes. The F-22 and AV-8B come to mind, its as if your helmet is glued to the hud glass and the only distance between your eyes and the hud/panel is that between your eyes and visor.

Eraser,

 

Check the cockpit.ini file and look for these lines:

 

Position=0.0000,4.0,0.9

ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0

Offset=0.0,-0.1,0.1

 

I believe the Offset line is the one you are looking for.

Thanks! it sorta works....my cockpit disappeared entirely, but I suspect it simply got moved either too far back or down.
