Had a girlfriend that was a very observant Jew and I went to synagogue with her and her family for some of the holy days while we were dating. It was very enlightening and beneficial for me. Day of Atonement always stuck out for me as being very meaningful, sort of like Tenebrae or midnight Christmas Mass for me.
