Commander31 Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Dave, since you did the F-15E, K, I and S, do you plan to do the F-15SG? I can provide you with pics if you want. Quote
kct Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Yeah, it would be fun to fly something our neighbours down south fly. Although they are more or less similar to F-15Ks (at least, the GE-powered batch, and the only difference is maybe radar and some avionics bits, although their difference could be greater than what we thought). FastCargo Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Dave, since you did the F-15E, K, I and S, do you plan to do the F-15SG? I can provide you with pics if you want. Since it's sounds like a texture and ini edit only, it sounds like it's within your ability to try. We learn by doing. We look forward to your contribution. FastCargo Quote

Commander31 Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 I'd like to do but I think Dave would produce a better product as he's got the experience. Quote
Jeremiah Weed Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I'd like to do but I think Dave would produce a better product as he's got the experience. He probably would produce a better product, but unless you try you will never get the experience he has. From what I have seen of this community if you ran into hiccups you couldn't figure out people would be willing to help. I'm working on building some technical trucks right now. They are going to be nowhere near perfect, but I have little doubt I will get the help I need from those experienced personnel to put out a good product. I also gain a lot of experience for the next project. Quote
Bravo2009 Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I have also found the community to be helpful. I have not released anything, but that doesn't mean I'm not learning behind the scenes. This is a great community that is willing to help those that are willing to learn. Quote
kct Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 (edited) Hmmm. I took out the decals from the F-15E skins for my what-if Malaysian Strike Eagles, so let me see if I could start somewhere...the only thing I would probably need are some squadron info (I'm assuming one of the A-4SU squadrons) and serials (first F-15SG were given something like 08-0001, and at this rate, the most one could make is a skin for ONE AIRCRAFT at the moment if you were to go for realism)... Plus decal placements. The pic published by Boeing showed a slightly different RSAF insignia placement, so got to figure that out too. Edited November 13, 2008 by kct Quote
+Dave Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I'd like to do but I think Dave would produce a better product as he's got the experience. Commander31 aka Captain CA, Here we go again with you wanting everyone to do something for you and you not wanting to learn anything. If you are going to use a different name.....don't register with the same IP address. Also you posting MO is also the same. Man, get off your ass and attempt something instead of begging everyone to do it. This is getting old man. Really really old. Quote
kct Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 (edited) Long way to go (haven't touched on the serials yet)...this is going to be a torture (using the F-15K, since they are technically the same, at least in terms of the exterior). Using the default TW insignias to find the ideal placements, would find a way to use the black insignias from the first production F-15SG. I would still prefer to wait until it was in actual service before anything. Other things: The LANTIRN targeting pod needs to be replaced by the Sniper targeting pod. Another thing. I need, as ironic as it sounds...Su-30MKMs to fight against. Edited November 13, 2008 by kct Quote
