Slight millisecond stutter when glying sfp 1 installs.

Recommended Posts

Hi, I noticed my sfp 1 installs stutter when flying by a millixseocnd or two, especially when panning with the mouse at certain angles. This is consistent after the October patches and not before. My WOI and WOE ones are smooth however. Did anyone have this prob and if so what to fix? My game settings are the same for all three installs. SFP 1 is the original strike fighters. Just not sure if patches had something to do with it.

SFP1 got an October Patch? :shok:

If true, this would be an October surprise for me.

I thought we had to move to THE WOV+ to use New Patch. ie...maybe your not supposed to gly Patch 2008 to THE SF. Hay I might try it on a backup copy game folder (for obvious game safety reasons).

Nossirree, there is an Oct 08 patch specifically for SF:P1.

Amazing to pull a jet sim from 6 years ago to 2008 standards, eh?

Stutters/Micro-pauses in any game or sim are usually caused by another application that's running in the background, and sapping processor cycles needed by the game.

Hi, don't see anything in background running as woi is smooth as silk. sfp1 stutters when panning around at certain spots.

For anyone suffering the quick stuttering effect i'd recommend d\l FSAutostart, its a free utility that shuts down all non game relevant programs that are constantly running (even if they are not doing anything) in the background, whilst your game/sim is on.

Originally designed for flight-sims,FSAutostart can be used for any game (i use it for the Rome TW series),makes a difference. I gain between 130-200 meg RAM when used!!

get it here http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-...AutoStart.shtml

I 'sometimes' have stuttering on either one of my two PC's when playing Thirdwire sims. And IL-2 has it too. You can notice it quite well when looking a the easy radar display, as a stutter occurs approx. once every radar scan.

A few eeks ago I manually disabled each and every unnecessary service and background program, to no avial. Eventually had to confess I could not fix this... :sorry: will try FSautostart though.

Hi, again. I am now on vaca from work so I will be testing more often. It happens when i pan say to 40 degrees or so. When i pan sideways, its smoother for some reason. Also, f10 or flyby mode shows the microstutter also. Il-2 FB I have and I dont get any stutter.

Hi, I did some more testing and it seems with the germanyCE map for woe with the new panel set by brain 32 and the height addon, there is no stutter. same goes for the deutschalnd terrain by gepard. VietnamSEA for WOV is good to with occasional stutter. is it because the scenery is low poly? Or is there something in data ini to make chg so all terrains run smooth. i tested using f10 key and especially on the runway. Or is case of too many objects in the scenery itself?
