Tha Damn SA-7s SFP1

They are prolific - they are EVERY damn where and I have NEVER been shot at by one - never once have I ever seen a frikkin SA-7 fire since I bought this fine sim.

 

I have one in my ground objects - think it came from Paskos SAM & ground object pack. I am running the patch before the Oct 08 SFP1 patch

 

All they do is kneel - pivot - and watch with that stoopidazz look on their frikkin commie faces.

 

Perplexed.

 

Yep - I searched. Found nothing.

 

If anyone can give me a heading to follow I would appreciate it. Off to get a scotch & soda.

Make sure in the SA7_DATA.ini that it says ShowMissile=TRUE

and you need to adjust the missile entry in the weaponsdata.ini file to get them to shoot.

Gepard posted some stats for the FIM-92A (which it uses) and I used FC's stinger, and still not getting fired at. Conversely the Stingers don't fire either, has to be some settings that need to be really tweaked.. And I forgot where he posted them :sad:

I have been getting Stingers fired at sense installing the Hardened Stinger Site mod. Also using all the other Air Defense mods as well.

My RussianSAM pack is ready, the problem with sa-7,14,16,18 (I use SA-7L for all) - the only thing, that prevents it to upload.

I think

show missile=true

means the missles are shown at the model (so the correct value for a missle launched from a "tube" should be "false"?)...

You don't need it to see the missle inflight.

Similar you not understand a situation: if the option show missile=true is not SET, the missile does not shoot.

But because of the POSSIBLE ERROR in LOD & INI, I see that on a picture, I wish to learn simply: others see the same, that I, or not.

I think you can't solve that problem. As you already said: if you set show missile=true then you have the strange looking, if you set show missile=false the SAM will not fire.

Not really satisfying, but in game you will not very often come so close to a SA-7 to see this mistake.

I solved this problem be 'patching' LOD. & edit ini. Thank you for answer!
