d3dx_9.dll problem

Guys, I have a slight problem about the ODS mod.Here's the prob:

 

Yesterday I downloaded the Oct2008 patch then the ODS campaign.I followed all the instructions carefully but when I go fly a mission it always ends in: Windows did not find d3dx_9.dll.Please make sure the filename is correct.Re-installing the program may fix this problem.

What shall I do?

Drop it in the main directory, I had the same issue

If that doesnt work, install the latest directx and you will be all set.

Wonder if that's like what I'm NOW getting....

 

CTD with the 'd3d9.dll' fault in my PTO (06 patch level) ... and only on the Hawaii map....

 

wondering now if it's a game issue or (oh gods I HOPE not) something in the terrrain..... too much work by too many people to stop now!!
