+Gunrunner 319 Posted March 11, 2009 Great, especially since we could use them in ODS... Just one thing though, the commander's cupola seems a tad too high.
Emp_Palpatine 501 Posted March 11, 2009 And could be added in future release of NF if C5 feels like it, in order to emulate French 1st Army.

SUICIDAL 401 Posted March 11, 2009 WOWOW The AMX-30 is great ... Just as I killed jajajaja. Let's say that I too was an AMX for the Argentine Army and the Army of Chile ... http://fotos.subefotos.com/c94013b002a1f80...a8cf363af2o.jpg http://fotos.subefotos.com/875b45587dc5e4b...971d5a5620o.jpg
+Gepard 11,466 Posted March 11, 2009 An AMX-30 is welcome. One of the vehicles i was trained to kill in the "good" old time. But by the way, what is this strange command turret for? I cant remember to have seen it before.
+Gunrunner 319 Posted March 11, 2009 (edited) It's always been there, except in this case, either a) the angle on the picture make it appear quite high, b) it is too high or c) the "windows" are too small. Its design (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AMX30_bustle.jpg) was meant to offer 360° visibility to tank commanders even when buttoned up. IIRC, the MG on top of the cupola could be used when buttoned up and could rotate independently from the turret, and the secondary 12.7mm (later 20mm) was independent in elevation from the main gun. It was a nice little tank, more meant for mobility and skirmishes than real tank battles (well, we couldn't afford them, and if we had come to use them in that role, we'd be doomed anyway). +Gepard 11,466 Posted March 11, 2009 I see. I have only seen pictures with a small commanders cuppola. But this was nearly 20 years ago!
+Steve s 11 Posted March 12, 2009 As said Gunrunner the "windows" of the turret are too small, but the error will be corrected .If someone sends me photos of this tank in service in other European armies, I could achieve more examples. Thanks for your suggestions.
