I thought it would be a good idea just to see whats going on in the world. I figured with such a multicultural community it would be interesting and alot of story's/reports would come in. Croc checks out Coral Bay Sunday, April 12, 2009 » 07:59pm Crocs aren't on the preferred guest list at Coral Bay, but one has been visiting for the past week. Especially four-metre man-eaters of the saltwater variety, like the one that has been checking the place out for the past week while giving worried wildlife officers the slip. Once the crocodile is pinpointed wildlife officers will decide whether it is practical to remove it from the area or destroy it.

Good idea, scouser. Fortunately, here in Spain the politicians spent a month in Holydays by Easter, so no bad news so far. We have new government (new ministers, but prime and defence). By the way, my now here is 12:54 PM, and this evening or night my neice is about to be born

scouserlad13 0 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) New news - Australia An aircraft crash has left 2 people injured in Victoria. Two men have been injured after an ultralight aircraft crashed as it came into land during a training exercise. A police spokeswoman said that the ultralight flipped as it came into the runway at Benalla Airfield in northern Victoria. The aircraft crashed just off the runway. The trainee pilot, a 19-year-old man from Parkdale suffered minor head injuries. A 52-year-old Ascot Vale man, believed to be the flight instructor, was seriously injured. Both were flown to The Alfred hospital. I hope the 52 year old will be ok and with his family again soon Edited April 12, 2009 by scouserlad13

GwynO 16 Posted April 12, 2009 A couple of days ago, the police "chief" that is in charge of counter terrorism in the UK was photographed entering 10 Downing Street. Nothing unusual in that... except this numbskull decided to leave a top secret document, text facing outwards, on top of a pair of folders under his arm. The newspapers agreed not to publish high res versions of the picture while police frantically rushed to catch those terrorists clearly named in the photograph. Result... several terrorists in the imminent phase of attack apprehended. Scenes of panic at Liverpool John Moores University as armed police storm the library to nab their mark, convoy upon convoy of armed police everywhere from motorways to takeaway restaurants taking these guys in. Surprise surprise they were all bar none Pakistani nationals, on student visas. Thank God we have some good police and SiS personnel! If they were all like the tool that jeopardised this case.. we'd have been hit hard again before now. Another suspected terrorist was also arrested separately in Wales, Mr. Chamchawala of Newport, Gwent, will have to explain to the magistrates court for what reason exactly he had 12g of HMTD under his kitchen sink. In other news, one of President Obama's half brothers was refused entry into the UK as his fingerprints matched a set recorded in a previous investigation into a sexual assault in Berkshire. Lt. James Cater 62 Posted April 12, 2009 No. i think he have had a couple of beers or something, but he has ran in a fight in the pub and then he brings a gun from his home and kills 3 people. and i thought there where some other people who got shot by him. As long as the targets only get hit, this is nothing to be alarmed at. You'd be amazed at how you can tolerate a certain amount of gunplay as long as no innocents get hit. SayethWhaaaa 245 Posted April 13, 2009 There was a story in the national news (ABC NewsRadio) here last week saying Adelaide has only a year's worth of drinking water left and Melbourne has only slightly more due to the lowest rain intake on record. When at capacity, South Australia's resevoirs hold a little less than a year's supply. Right now, they're below 50% AFAIK, and there's no rain in sight... Looking like another dry winter again. SayethWhaaaa 245 Posted April 15, 2009 REALLY? Yeah, it's true. Governments down here are thinking of maybe thinking about scheduling some time to consider the thought of possibly entertaining the idea of making a proposition of a pipe line to send flood waters from futre deluges to top up the resevoirs down south. So we know it isn't going to happen. Especially not with Penny Wong as an 'environmental' minister. :threaten: She's about as friendly to the environment a DDT! Here's an interesting story on news.com.au today. Fir real!

Here's an interesting story on news.com.au today. Fir real! In Spain we got something like that. The new "socialist"(lol) government, in 2004, cancelled a project wich would have brought water to southern regions an irrigated the northern, taking water from the Ebro river´s delta. Now, the northernbrainwashed dudes get flooded or thirsty because the project they blamed for stealing their water was rejected. And the budget was used to indemnizate contractors for cancellation, or alreadry payed for materiel wich was never used, so with the same money we got nothing. Darwin Award incoming BTW: That tree issue must be fake, couldn´t grow wihout sun. Guess it´s fungi. Edited April 15, 2009 by macelena

Here's an interesting story on news.com.au today. Fir real! First of all, WOW about the tree in the lung, couldnt imagine that happening to me haha. And second of all, you should just get a pipeline to brisbane. Even though there are water restrictions here haha, but we have just had a huge spell of rain. Ive just done a whole term on water in Australia, turns out in most places damms wont be built anymore because of "eco" groups. Eh we need our water people!!! Hope it turns out alright for you folks....
