Anyway I decided to release slightly early because I'd like some of you to enjoy tweaking this thing, theres alot of talent out there who can make this thing great.

 

 

Absolutely no part of this is to be used in payware but moddify the model any way you wish and re distribute in your own freeware mods as you wish with no permission required from me, just give me the relevant credit.

 

The skins are Sundowners so ask him if you wish to make mods of them.

INSTALL: Simply extract contents of "EF-2000 Typhoon" folder into your MOD folder

 

 

NOTES: Includes recent pilot and seat fix for SF2 series posted by Sundowner so this pack is as up to date as possible.

Also, again please note I only did the conversion, the guys above did the hard work.

Took it for a spin. Flew a sweep mission 2 vs. 8 (MiG-21). Got all the bandits without a loss. Nice bird.

I'm liking this more than F-22 now. :biggrin:

 

Before I forget, I didn't have any afterburner effects when installed out of the box.

Yeah I know but that's how original came out, I'm not changing anything just making it "out of the box" SF2 compatible. IIRC it uses F-15E Afterburner effects

I'm having a couple of problems.

 

I added the F15E Afterburner effect, but it's still not showing in game.

 

And, I don't have a gun on the a/c.

 

Is there something I need to edit or update?

Brain updated it with the burner effect so just re download it. The Tiffie doesn't have a gun I thought.

EF-2000 uses Bk27 which can be found in Gripen SF2 re-pack

 

Ah ok, I thought the Brits removed the gun.

I've added the update, and I'm still not getting the burners. I have a similar problem with a couple other jets. So, I think it might be some .tga, or effect file that I'm missing.??

 

I asked just in case someone else had the same thing.

 

I have the Gripen so I'll add the gun. Thanks for that info.

The gun will simply show up if you have the Gripen no work required :)

Just keep in mind that in SF2 all custom guns don't show up at the loading screen but are there once you are in the game.

As for the afterburner effects I really don't know why it does not show up for you, I personally tested everything so I know it should work :unsure:

Ah ok, I thought the Brits removed the gun.

 

They did, in order to save maintenance and weight, but the guns were reinstalled when it was needed as ballast for keeping the aircraft balanced and the possibility of sending them to Afghanistan. The guns weren´t removed by the other air forces

I had not noticed the SF2 ready Gripen. Got it.

 

I need to keep working on the afterburner thing. I'm sure it's on my end.

( they must always have the most original ideas dont they lol :P )

 

 

 

I am not having in HUD any "graphics". Symbols and such. just numbers/text. Is that normal? merged install of all sf2 titles febr patch

 

 

And most of all i like the RWR tga LOL i wonder whos touch is that :P

The avionics.ini is missing some lines. It's pretty much the same with the missing AB and smoke effects. Simply add the content in bold.

thanks :) any idea about the canopy flicker maybe ?

 

 

edit:

 

answering my own question, one way/workaround to control the flicker is adjusting the canopy glass tga file transparency (alpha channel), the more transparent the less flicker.
