Interesting that it's on wheels. Other than the SA-8, I seem to recall most mobile units are on tracks.

It's also more than likely a logical development, because there are static versions, as well as if my mind serves right, trailer versions.

Really? First two 96K6 Pantcyr-S1 arriver in Syria in 30.07.2008, Training complex arrived in march 2008. 10 others was planned to Aug-Sept 2008, all 34 was planed to end 2008. I'm not sure, what this system are used to any combat in Syria in 2009 , need some time for crew training & some work.

He's probably talking about the 1982 war.

well, now i'm not sure

here the media widely said(and some israeli friends) in that F-15I Strike over the ''supposed'' Syrian Nuclear facility the Pantsyr was destroied in the area.

but that you said is true, untrained crew with an high-end sam don't really use all SAM capacity.

He's probably talking about the 1982 war.

well, not really, that's about that strike on ''supposed'' Syrian Nuclear Facilitie. :good:

Going a little bit offtopic:

idk untill when this source is Reliable but...

But what’s most intriguing about the strike is what it says about Syria’s air defense system. Some claim that the Syrians have one of the most advanced SAM and radar-tracking architectures manufactured in Russia – the same one used to protect Tehran – called the Pantsyr. Apparently the unstealthy F-15I Israeli aircraft were able to make it into Syria without being shot out of the sky, and some reports indicate that they snuck their way out through Turkey either with permission or without.
