I recently sent Dave (USAFMTL) a few tweaks that I'd whipped up for both of SF2E's A-10A models. Well, to make a long story short, he all but threatened me with violence, if I did share them with everybody

First, look at the images. Notice something missing from the "before" (TW default) images?

I've also edited both files to use a more realistic turbofan drone, allegedly a recording of an actual A-10. It sounds especially convincing in a fly-by view. Get 'em here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...;showfile=9527#

Umm don't judge by the game screenshots, especially not the 6DOF ones. I believe you would have to sit left of the HUD with your head between your knees to get this view in the real plane lol

Looking at the released DCS A-10 screenshots and you can't see the turbofans as well.

Maybe that is the case in real life (unless you fully look back). Can any real A-10 pilots confirm?

That's a really intelligent statement. Let' see, one can see the horizontal stabs right where they join the vert stabs, but they can't see 1.5+ meter diameter engine nacelles sitting in front and above them? And you're forming this opinion based on the distorted views of a flight simulator of questionable authenticity?

Ya think you'd miss these from the pit?

Besides, a former A-10 and F-4 driver's no further away than my Outlook address book.
