Fubar512 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 This is hilarious. The question begs to be asked: WTF was he thinking at the time? http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2009/09/new_york_ap_a.html Quote
Gr.Viper Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Maybe he trained articulation using this and it backfired? I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's mate, I'm only plucking pheasants 'cause the pheasant plucker's late. Quote
+ST0RM Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 The look on the co-anchor was pretty awesome. Quote
JediMaster Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 They did a great bit about it on the Daily Show last night, with Stewart claiming it was going to be his signature sign-off like Cronkite's "And that's the way it is." "Good night, and keep %^ing that chicken!" Quote
Fubar512 Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 (edited) I recall one gaffe by a sports commentator during a mid 1970s Miami Dolphins game. It went something to the effect of "Holy Shiit!!!! How about that catch!!!" Or the time that another commentator slipped up while describing a punt-return by the Denver Bronco's Rick Upchurch (showing my age here)..."Look at that Sumnabitch Go!!!!" eraser_tr Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Jon Stewart had a clip of him doing before, what is going on in his mind when he's on air? Yeah men think about sex constantly, but while you're reading the news on TV? And chickens?! WTF, what is this, some kind of move to make catholic priests look less deviant? Quote

If that was the case, the late Frank Perdue might have appreciated (and understood) it.... Quote
+Typhoid Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 right up there with the cute, innocent, sweet young info-babe who turned to the TV weatherman and asked "so where's that six inches you promised me last night?" (the entire crew melted down) Quote
