A-10 Peanut Paint Scheme

Recommended Posts

Does anyone remember that LOMAC screenshot which displays the "peanut" paint scheme--I think someone called it? It is a bunch of small camoflauge circles all over the jet--almost like polka dots.

I'm trying to find that screenshot--does anyone remember where it is?

That's the JAWS, or Joint Attack Weapons System from the 70's, also it is sometimes called the South East Asia 1 Scheme, what the A-10 would have worn had they sent it to Vietnam, but the camo was deemed too improper for areial combat, and was pulled. JAWS is the system of using the USAF A-10 in conjunction with US Army AH-1's to kill Russian tanks, read Red Storm Rising, it has some god stuff about it during the tank battles.
