Tell me Olham, how doest it feel to be away from OFF and return back after 15 days?

It must be similar for a guy being in a prison for ten years without being able to see a woman and then finally........ :spiteful:

But when I find out, who painted my Albatros pink - boy, you better catch a SPAD

or an S.E.5a, and fly away from that pink dot approaching you,

cause otherwise I will fire pink tracers from my pink Spandaus, until you are a

pink cloud!!!

Mmuahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!

Olham's back!!!

We sure missed you M8

Nice to see you're all fired up and ready for action after the holiday grin.gif

Those Krumpet gunners were probably frozen in awe when they saw your newly painted Albatross

Kept you safe, it did, I say!

But on how it came to be pink, I must plead the 5th ...Scotch, I think it was!

All so blurry now pardon.gif

As it says in the "Whiskypalian's" Good Book, "When 3 or 4 or gathered together, there will be a 5th in the midst of them" drinks.gif

You never know what might happen when the spirits move you, and pink is a color often associated with their handiwork. Elephants come to mind, not to mention the Albatros in question.

Well, Pink is associated to the gay people in Germany, since the Nazis forced them

to wear a pink star on their clothing. You couldn't know that.

Before that, in WW1, it might have been used without any such prejudice, as this

almost-pink on a Fokker D VII shows (argh!!).

In other countries, pink may just be a - rather female? - colour? German babies are

often dressed light blue for boys, and pink for girls.

Personally, I dislike pink very much and would never use it for painting my craft;

my favourite colours are blue and orange (which was not available in those days, as far

as I know - I think a wider use of orange paint did not come up until the 70s).

Thats the Sign Painter coming out in you Olham. Sign painters like REAL colors. Actually I'm very fond of orange myself and use it whenever possible. Blue is just obvious, lol.

Actually, I did and still do sign writing, on panels, cars, tarpaulins for vans and windows.

So we are doing very similar stuff, Burning Beard.

You will not be sorry Olham. I thought it a fabulous read. Very gritty and real. I think you will enjoy it very much. Thanks for helping Lou.
