Well, the Mainstay tracks one well off-the map. As to whether or not it actually vectors its escorts after you (which share network entries with the Mainstay), is open for debate. I did find, however, that if the escorts go off on their own, questing ahead of the Mainstay, they'll come running back if you try to attack it.

Now that is Interesting... having an Awac up with escorts would make life a lot harder... Now where did I park the Tomcat again...

Amazing! and intriguing. I'm guessing the mainstay is set as a bomber and that's how you got it to spawn escort flights, or is that a scripted mission?

The mainstay's primary role is set to "AWACS", to ensure tha it doesn't show up as a bomber or a transport.

OMG, there's an AWACS role and it's working?!?! :drinks:

No, . I've defined the A-50's primary role as such to prevent it from showing in other roles, that is, in secondary roles, which I've added in order to get it's Vega-M radar to work in a somewhat believable fashion.

Low-quality video:

Sacrificing 2x F-15As for one A-50. Notice the MiG-29s sweeping with their radars once the A-50 becomes aware of the two F-15s flying at low level.
