Anyone found a fix to this yet ?

Execute it from within a .rar file.

i just put it on the desktop, and it worked fine (in it's own folder, of course).

Mine is installed to a secondary partition and works fine from there - although probably anywhere other than the program files folders should work.

tried all that...and all weapons dissapeared..thank god i made backups of the ini files

Sounds like you have the wrong version of the editor!

 

Nothing should be lost if you still have the weapondata.ini. All it does is create a weapondata.dat from the weapondata.ini when you click save.

 

make sure you are opening weapondata.ini from inside the weapons folder only.

 

The editor may need to be set to win 98 compat mode.

 

if that doesnt work you will need to state the version of the editor and the patch level of the SF1 game

OK got it working the work inside a rar did it.
