It wouldn't make much of a headline if it said "Old as s**t Russian prop-driven patrol planes manage to make it to the navy exercise"

I dont know why people are so excited. Its a normal thing that planes attempt to recon something. The US and NATO birds are doing the same if russian surface groups are on excercise.
