+FastCargo Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 FC, the conversion isnt a "5 minutes" job because you have to double (with reversed normals) all the faces that need to be seen from both side (chute , damaged surfaces, inside glasses of canopy ,....) for at least 2 or 3 LOD for each model (so 14/21 models only for the Voodoo). Dave asked for a straight conversion to get shadows back, I wasn't under the assumption you were using both sides of the mesh. FC
+Veltro2k Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I have already purchased and installed SF2 . Trying to learn how to build and package for it,,,as soon as I get good at it I will also stop Building for SF1 and concentrate only on SF2..My fear is that TK will update something in future products and create a Brick wall that we modders can’t break..
+Stary Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 All I can say as a modelling newbie sort of, normalmaps and specular mapping makes huge difference, so it's great news Veltro!
+ErikGen Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 (edited) Dave asked for a straight conversion to get shadows back, I wasn't under the assumption you were using both sides of the mesh. FC Hehehe .... with a over 10k polys model and the 2-side surfaces option selected , for sure something will disappear once the model is exported with the 1-side option.
