amariani Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 ...add flyable enemy aircraft to a campaign? Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 umm in theory the same as adding friendly aircraft. however it may take more than just that given the confusion it could create. i believe Suhsjake was working on a Red flyable campaign for the NF series sometime back. he may be a good one to ask if hes still active. otherwise look in the Knowledge Base the is a thread on adding aircraft to a campaign and give that a try. hope this helps Quote
Fubar512 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 ...add flyable enemy aircraft to a campaign? By creating an entirely new campaign. You cannot "fly" for both sides in the same campaign. Quote
Jaman Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 By creating an entirely new campaign. You cannot "fly" for both sides in the same campaign. You sure?. I mean, First Eagles have campaigns where you can chose both sides on the same campaign. Is that a limitation for the rest of the sims? Quote

amariani Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 Ok, finally managed to make one of the enemy units flyable, but I want it to ly off a carrier. This is what I have so far: 1) from the campaign.ini . . . Service001=USAF Service002=USN Service003=USMC Service004=Paran . . . [ParanUnit001] Squadron=1PFS ForceID=2 UnitID=23 StartDate=06/01/1988 DescFile=Campaign5Start.txt StartText=Campaign5Start.txt AircraftType=Su-33 2) from the campaign_data.ini . . . [AirUnit023] AircraftType=Su-33 Squadron=1PFS ForceID=2 Nation=Paran DefaultTexture=NAVY StartNumber=0 BaseArea=Charlie Station CarrierBased=TRUE CarrierNumber=77 RandomChance=100 MaxAircraft=12 StartAircraft=12 MaxPilots=16 StartPilots=16 Experience=75 Morale=80 Supply=100 MissionChance[sWEEP]=90 MissionChance[CAP]=90 MissionChance[iNTERCEPT]=90 MissionChance[ESCORT]=90 MissionChance=25 MissionChance[CAS]=25 MissionChance[sEAD]=10 MissionChance[ARMED_RECON]=25 MissionChance[ANTI_SHIP]=10 MissionChance[RECON]=20 UpgradeType=NEVER . . . [CarrierUnit003] CarrierType=Orjol CarrierNumber=77 UnitName=TAKR Orjol ForceID=2 Nation=Paran BaseArea=Charlie Station NumSquadron=5 BaseSize=MEDIUM Experience=100 Morale=100 Supply=100 3) from the desert_targets.ini . . . [TargetArea076] Name=Charlie Station Position=550000,600000 Radius=5657 ActiveYear=0 Location=3 Alignment=ENEMY CarrierStation=TRUE Althou the carrier shows up on the planning map, when I load the campaign the game keeps sticking my unit to the P10 airfield. Any ideas? Quote

This is what I have so far: xxxx Althou the carrier shows up on the planning map, when I load the campaign the game keeps sticking my unit to the P10 airfield. Any ideas? Are you sure you are flying the right Squadron?. You might have a wrong ID on the x.ini file and thus be flying for the wrong squadron. Edited April 26, 2011 by Jaman Quote
amariani Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 I'm positive I got the right squadron. I set everything up as you would for a friendly squadron. Quote
Jaman Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I'm positive I got the right squadron. I set everything up as you would for a friendly squadron. So does that mean the Su33 squadron you picked is the number 23 red side squadron or is it the absolute 23 squadron (blue + red)?. Because when you set the ID for the x.ini file you must count from the first squadron for that side, meaning: x_DATA.ini ----------------------------- Blue side squadrons ----------------------------- bla bla bla ------------------------------ Red side squadrons ------------------------------ [AirUnit040] <--- This is the first red side squadron AircraftType=Su-33 Squadron=1PFS Now lets go to the x.ini file x.ini blue squadrons bla bla bla [ParanUnit001] Squadron=1PFS ForceID=2 UnitID=1 Quote
amariani Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 Thanks Jaman, it works perfect now. Some shots... Quote
