+Muesli 2,158 Posted May 31, 2011 (edited) My grandfather, who was an MP during the German invasion of the Netherlands and who refused to do their dirty work after the capitulation. He had to hide during the whole war (in Amsterdam) where he met his future wife. Unfortunately war left his scars (on him, too...) and he was never the same again, being an introvert 6feet 3inches giant with a big temper and a big heart. I was the first one to hear his story; he could relate to me as I have been in a war as a UN peacekeeper and he was proud of that. I was at his bed when he passed away, couldn't be more proud!
