If you mean the date of a campaign pilot:

you only need to open the pilot's dossier, and change it there.

You find the pilot dossier here:

(your sim folder) > campaigns > CampaignData > pilots

The first lines will look like this:

91

Germany

Jasta 2

Oberleutnant

Wolfram

Harms

13

8

1917

14

14

3156

21

6

1917

-

So this pilot's actual date is 13 August 1917. You can now just advance the date and save the file.

Note: when a pilot is Pilot No. 2 in the ingame log, he will be one no. higher in the files; he will be Pilot3.

Whenever you should have a question so difficult, that you could only ask it in German,

feel free to do so, lederhosen.

And no, my name is not Lederhosen, but then my German is atrocious so I probably just misread that bit.

I guess there is a lot more missing than just nuances, Creaghorn - it sometimes feels like there's a whole wing missing. :yikes:

You can also manually transfer your pilot from one squadron to another. Just replace the name of your current squadron (in Olham's example, Jasta 2) with the name of the squadron you are transferring in. The name must written correctly to avoid any problems. So if Olham wants to go to Jasta 11, he simply replaces Jasta 2 in that file with Jasta 11. Your new squadron will be shown in your pilot's book when you fly your first mission with them.

In P4, it won't be necessary to transfer pilots manually.

I am really glad you posted this Olham. I run my pilots consecutively, starting each newcomer from the date of the previous pilot's demise. This is usually some way into a campaign period. I have been furiously advancing time to get to the required date! I suspected something like this was possible but was too convinced I'd mess things up.

I have just recreated my latest pilot for thr third time, owing to fallout from our hard drive crash, and this has saved me a lot of time.
