Fubar512 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 (edited) Just came back from watching Killer Elite at the local cinema, and thought I'd let you all know that it is definitely worth watching. Great, believable, edge of the seat action, minimal political BS (by today's standards, anyhow), and a fantastic story line. Jason Statham and Clive Owen were more than up to the task, and Robert De Niro's role (though somewhat minimal) was memorable. Edited September 30, 2011 by Fubar512 Quote
firehawkordy Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Maybe I'll check it out this weekend. Still prefer the original, the shoot out in Chinatown was one of the best from the 70's Quote

Still prefer the original, the shoot out in Chinatown was one of the best from the 70's It has nothing to do with "The Killer Elite", which was the working title of the 1970's film. Killer Elite may (or may not ) be based on fact, and takes place during the early 1980s: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Feather_Men Edited September 30, 2011 by Fubar512 Quote
firehawkordy Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 The Wiki link changes things a bit, thought it was a remake as that kind of non-creative garbage has taken over movies and TV so much anything original hardly sees the light of day. Quote

Figured I'd clear the air, as I'm also of the opinion that most remakes blow goats Quote
liamp51 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Just saw "No Country For Old Men" last night...I highly recommend it. 4 out of 5 stars. Quote
+Gocad Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I haven't seen Killer Elite yet, but to be honest the movie has taken a huge hit for me due to its poster... Clive Owen is supposed to be a hardcore professional...but look how he handles his handgun... Quote
Nesher Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I'll try to catch it, if not in the cinema then when it comes out to DVD :) thanks Quote
