RonaldVeen Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Great mod! Thanks. When you're using a merged install of Strike Fighters 2 it may be good to know that - when the wavefiles are placed in the default '<X:>\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic\Speech\' folder - the voice of Red Crown will be replaced with the voice of Hawkeye. To remedy this, extract the 'NATIONS.INI' file from 'MissionData001.cat' and open it. Adjust the following lines: [Nation003] Name=USN DisplayName=United States Navy Alignment=FRIENDLY PilotNameList=NamesUSNMC.lst RankList=RanksUSN.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=USFighter Formation.Attack=USFighter Formation.Bomber=USBomber Formation.Transport=USBomber Formation.Tank=USTank Formation.MobileAD=USAD PilotTrainingStandard=EXCELLENT GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=SpeechUSN (without the *.cat extension) SpeechTextFile=SpeechTextUSN.cat Medals=MedalsUSN.ini MedalTextFile=MedalsUSN.str UseFAC=FALSE [Nation004] Name=USMC DisplayName=United States Marine Corps Alignment=FRIENDLY PilotNameList=NamesUSNMC.lst RankList=RanksUSMC.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=USFighter Formation.Attack=USFighter Formation.Bomber=USBomber Formation.Transport=USBomber Formation.Tank=USTank Formation.MobileAD=USAD PilotTrainingStandard=EXCELLENT GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=SpeechUSN (same here) SpeechTextFile=SpeechTextUSN.cat Medals=MedalsUSN.ini MedalTextFile=MedalsUSN.str UseFAC=TRUE Next, place 'NATIONS.INI' in '<X:>\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic\Flight\' and make a subfolder called 'SpeechUSN' in '<X:>\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic\Speech\'. Place SkateZilla's wavefiles in that new folder, and you're good to go. Greetings, Ronald Quote
slick cowboy Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I've downloaded the files, but in my merged install i have no default speech folder in my StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic. I created one, and yet the voice remains unaffected. I still have the geeky voice... Any suggestions... maybe I'm missing something.. please help that voice is a total buzz killer! Quote
