Dysko Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Last sunday I went to Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este ("Villa d'Este Elegance Contest"), a yearly meeting of historic cars and prototypes on the shores of Lake of Como, in Italy. I don't know much about cars, so if I don't write the exact model is because I don't know what it is... This contest is organized by BMW Group, so the first part hosts racecars and bikes built by the German company: A minicar display: BMW Isetta Well, this isn't exactly the Messerschmitt I like... Motorbikes, both historic and prototypes: "It looks like it's made of clay!" Well... it actually is, it's a mock-up by MV Agusta (yes, it's a branch of the helicopter company): A car everybody would want: Car protoypes: Alfa Romeo... something, winner of the "Prototypes" category: BMW i8, evil looking car... Parquet in a car?!? Historic cars: Lamborghini Countach. From Wikipedia: "The word "countach" is an exclamation of astonishment in the local Piedmontese language — generally used by men on seeing an extremely beautiful woman." Mercedes Gullwing: Ford GT40: Lamborghini Miura: Ferrari 250 GTO, most expensive car in the world (35'000'000 $): Alfa Romeo 6C, winner of the "Historic cars" category: Sidecar: 2 Quote
