TurtleHawk Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Nice. The college I went to has a biology field station in the Hiawatha Forest in the UP. Thanks for posting. Quote
+ext Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) Spent a complete day on Mackinac Island last year. I highly recommend if your travelling in the area to stop! It was the highlite of my trip into Michigan. Edited June 29, 2012 by ext Quote
B52STRATO Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Impressive pictures of the ferry, except with hydrojets, I never saw surface propellers make such a sheaf. The old and classic style Lighthouse is nice too. Quote
+Wrench Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 great shots, Ken! (i had a heck of time throwing a bridge across that strait on the MidWestUSA terrain, lemme tell ya!) Quote
+Stary Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 great, love the lighthouse and foggy brigde shots! Nice shape it has BTW Quote
+Major Lee Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 Thanks everyone! Glad you like the shots. Pics were re-sized for internet display, but no other post processing was done. Also, corrected URL to the camera. The Star Line uses a jet drive hyrdofoil. I prefer the smoother ride of the Arnold Line turbine catamarans... Quote

+Major Lee Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 They are special and for those who grew up near them, they occupy a beloved place in our hearts and our minds eye... I hope you can see them some time! Quote
