Haha Lou very funny. Hey how did you get access to the top secret claims team? Mind you I don't see mention of Colonel Harry "Armpit" Lossajuster who ensures no claims at all get passed (unless he is on tea break).

But speaking seriously, will the claims system be different in WOFF? It would be great if we were able to write claims after every mission, and not only after those when we definitely had kills. It would make the system more realistic. In P3, you know you shot something down when you get the claim form, even if the claim ends up being rejected. But in real life, you could always claim something (like one of those "out of control" cases), even though you weren't 100% sure the aircraft went down.

Hey Hasse Wind, while we wait for WOFF the latest version of OFFbase reworks how BHaH and HitR handle claim and log forms, so you can write claims/reports after every mission. Especially great for bomber campaigns where the missions aren't about kills. A couple of bugs in the last release but I hope to have a fix out this weekend.

I have never understood the problems so many folks have with the OFF claims department, other than that caused by Mr. H. Thengsupp. While ALL my pilots have died with pending claims, those who have survived long enough to receive a decision on at least 1 claim have always had a 90% or better approval rate. Seriously, rejections are so few and far between for me that I don't worry about them even when, after watching the replay, I realize I got everything totally wrong on the claims I just submitted.

Seems to me all you complainers don't know how to deal with bureaucrats. OT1H, they're compelled to check up on every detail you've submitted. But OTOH, they are themselves judged by the amount of paperwork they can put through their office in a given time, and are under scrutiny to make sure they show their side is winning the war. So baffle them with BS. The more details you include, fictious or not, the longer the bureaucrats will have to look at it. With luck, they'll be at it longer than it takes the next lorry full of claims to arrive. At this point, they can't just throw all the previous load of claims away because they're all typed on government-issue forms which have to be accounted for. So they pass the buck upstream. The next level up doesn't want to be bothered doing the claims department's job, and they hired the claims department to reject everything they could. Thus, to the next level, anything that comes up from below is good enough so gets approved.
